not 100% sure but may just go ride at the flats sat in marion let you know friday for sure,my boy 3 1/2 & drive red black toyota.

Sounds good. Bunch of us from the Lake Norman area are meeting in Mooresville Saturday morning and heading over.

Kohl's parking lot at Exit 36 at 9:30 and should be at the Outpost around 11.

I'm planning on heading out there Sat morning. 1st time wheeling out there. I might tag along if yall don't mind.

Not sure if I am heading out Saturday or Sunday. It is Saturday I will see all of you there. I will be a yellow TJ with a full cage and 4 link rear on 35's with beadlocks.

i'm trying to get mine back together, should be done in time if no problems.will be there sat morning.might tag along with the lake norman crowd. what time you planning on getting there russ? i would like to hook up together this time. when we were at gulches i ended up spending most of my time helping get that blazer back to camp. ofcourse ripping a spring hanger off on the first trail diddn't help.

Not 100% sure at the moment. I'm waiting to hear back from my friend thats coming from Raleigh to meet up with me.

Anyone who wants to join us is more than welcome. Like I said, Kohl's parking lot at 9:30 and Outpost around 11. Last time we rode until around 7, back to the Outpost for food and then headed home.

We have a couple of nearly stock Jeeps, a coupla URE virgins and some kids so we plan on takin it easy on the trail.

My rig isn't tagged. I think I'll have to park at one of the trailside parking lots.

Im not saying this is the right thing to do... but a random tag won't hurt anyones feelings. I think its pretty retarded that you have to have a tag on your vehicle on the gravel roads connecting the trail heads. I did it last time after seeing the S10 blazer buggys pulled over getting harassed.

Not blaming the FS officers, they are just doing there jobs, but the law seems pretty stupid.

yea i don't know why they don't just overlook the law since it's only dirt roads. i've been there 4 or 5 times and only saw a ranger one time and he wasnt bothering anyone. russ you can park at the double parking lots but you might want to get there kinda early to get a spot. you can go straight into the trails from there. got mine back together so i'll be there for sure. when you know what time your going to be there let me know and we can hook up.

I think I'm heading up there my self now my weekend plans are getting swapped out last minuet. I think I will go there friday and stay over maybe till sunday not sure yet.

amajeepman, where are you camping at first time going was thinking arrowhead camp ground sounded good.

If you want electricity, paved campsites, bath house, etc etc etc I would stay at Arrowhead. Badin Lake is a good 2nd choice, and then of course you have primitive camping.

Planning on meeting my friend at the outpost at 9am and then unloading at the prking lot in teh middle of Rocky Mnt Loop.

You think that's early enough to get a spot there?

I'll be on the lookout for ya. I've still got your #.

AMAJEEP,
I'll throw the stuff you bought from me awhile back in the truck. If you see me in a black F250 Crewcab or my White CJ5 just flag me down and I'll get it for you.

Cool thanks man. Being my first time I think I will just do that and go look around and check the area out see what it is all about. I forgot how close I was to UNF its crazy I've never been there. If you guys see a red XK lost and clueless or stuck stop by and say Hi:driver:

Thank you Russ. I will keep my eyes open for you. I will probably just try to meet up with you at the outpost in the morning.

I second the arrowhead camp ground. Good luck getting a site with electric last minute though. They are usually reserved.
