Camo'd is 79Stomper's. Yeah those hawgs are wide.

I'm in the doorless, topless one

Sapper is the one in the middle with military beadlocks.

nice rigs, we talked to u when u had went over lower kodak when u were waiting on the others to arrive. we were the group of jeeps that were parked right above kodak. BTW that JIMMY is bad ass :smokin:

Good photos!! I went twice in April myself but we are not running any tires as big as your group but we always have fun at the Kodak rock. Our group has (3) Jeeps - CJ7,TJ & YJ, FJ40, '74 Bronco & 70's stock chevy short bed pick-up. The pictures of damage did someone break some "u-bolts"?

Yeah I found my friends at the parking lot when I was coming down from rocky mnt., they were getting ready to go up.

Thats a pic of 40" hawgs on 14" beadlocks, a new elde injection, and the ledge at the second switchback of daniel. When the hawgs crabbed it crushed the rear spring perches snaping the front cv joint and the rear straps. Two driveshafts down and an axle that wouldn't sit still any more. We fixed the rear shaft on the trail but still had to daisy chain him back down. I pulled and another K5 strapped to the rear acted as reverse. That was one long trip down the mountain. I had to smoke my 42s several times to get him up those hills. James lives about 4hours from uwharrie so we loaded him on my gooseneck and I drove my rig 2 hours home. Him and his family spent the night and we got up Sunday morning and fixed his rig. Heres a pic of what we went back with. I compensated for his zero rate in the perches. These are solid from spring pad to the axle tube.

Holy-Beefy Spring Perches Batman! I don't think you will have to worry about crushing any more perches with solid steel.

Yeah We Saw you guys on the trail. nice Rigs

Here are some pics of my J10 there this week end.
Oh and that "7' ledge" on Daniel that every one was talking about was nothing just short little hill climb if that

I have to ask, If you had to reweld the perchs anyway, why not get rid of the degree shim?
Don't get me wrong, they look great, I was just wondering.

WOW, what a difference. Never really looked at the 2 pics together.

Not sure on why we left the shims in. Had been a long weekend for all by the time we welded the perches on and just really wanted to be done with it. John and his family was absolutely upstanding during my time of need and we really appreciate it.
