URE opening weekend

ough yea thanks Josh,:flipoff2: lets post the pics of the first time I break my stuff and not post any of the obsticals that I did make it over, you know the one like, the one like the one that one day.

Sorry Joe that is the only pic I had!

they sure mad a statement by not putting down any gravel on the main roads, but they sure were more rangers writing tickets. I asked one of the rangers about the roads and they said they had some bids out, but did not sound very promising. Your stimulus plan at work:flipoff2:

They are writing the tickets to raise money for the roads. I can deal with rough roads if that is what it takes to stay open LOL.

Someone was mentioning rangers checking stickers? I assume you mean trail pass stickers? Has anyone had any problem with them checking safety/emmisions stickers?

We had a good time!ANyone see a black 94 SASed pickup on 36's ans the bronco II with a dana 44 and 36's?Oh yeah also a couple 3-wheelers haha thats how we do it!Anyways I broke off 2 knuckle studs, twisted rear driveshaft and chewed up some knuckle bearings! We did this monday when everyone was already gone!It was good meeting some of you guys, now Im off to afghanistan and hope to see yall towards the end of the summer!

Yeah I got the same story last year, and I believe the year before that, guess they will never write enough tickets to fix the road. Since you can get a ticket because its a state road, you would think the state, not the forest service would be liable for maintaining the road. I bet you wont li9ke dealing with the roads after you bust some trailer tires, or you hit a pothole and busted your oil pan like one poor fellow did last year.

I've been going to UNF for the last ten years, and the graverl roads were always maintained every year, they hardly wrote any tickets and you used to drop the money down a pole at the trailhead. So your telling me that they have less money now(with all the revenue from the passes sold @ the outpost you could probably open your own off road park). So in reality they are taking the "extra" money thats been funneling in over the last few years and blowing itt on stupid non OHV programs

Someone please explain to me how they are accomplishing less with more money?

Thats EXACTLY what me and my buds were talking aout this past weekend! Those roads are worse than I have ever seen!

I have not been this year so I truly do not know how bad the roads are. I do not recall them being to bad last year either. Then again I grew up on gravel roads that were not maintained very well. So our differences might be in how we define maintained and a decent gravel road LOL. I think they consider the rough roads cheap speed bumps LOL

On a side note, there are no inspection stickers anymore.
Rob

yeah but cops look at your registration to see when the inspection is due, so they can still bust you

inspection

when they run your tag number it tells them whether your inspection is out or not, that way they can pull you without looking at your window.

very true, since your tag and inspection are now due on the same month, and you can't get your car inspected if your tags are out and vice versa, so if you get pulled for expired tag you automatically get busted for no inspection, also keep your copy of your inspection paper in your dash just in case.

I got a couple shots on Kodak

Here is the jackas* himself....

He think's he's Dent Daddy!!!! Tony you do not owe me for the advertisment because you were rescued by a Toyota yourself!!!!!!:flipoff2:HPIM0280.jpg

Hey johnny B it was nice meeting ya man,I meant to come back up there on saturday but it was my girls b-day and had to spend the day with her but we got some night riding in that night!I just got my yota back on the road today!I twisted and buckled my rear driveshaft(on kodak),broke off 2 knuckle studs which made the knuckle bearings come loose and chewed them up scarring up my bobby long birfiled joint.SO me and my boy Alex tore my axle apart and rebuilt it since we had it apart and this time used the ARP knuckle studs hoping they will last!Oh yeah I got Fleetpride in greensboro to fix my driveshaft which will never get twisted again as thick as this tubing is!Anyways wish it lasted longer! Now im gone all summer to the desert!

dang ben, that aint like a toyota to break all that stuff at one time. glad u got it fixed, look me up when u get back and we'll do some wheelin

i guess tony didnt like the free advertisement, maybe i should get some stickers

will do man!

Allison Machiene shop in asheboro actually fixed it but I took it up to fleetpride in greensboro to balance it but not very impressed with the work since at about 70 up it shakes my truck!

Well my trail rig doesnt see much more than 65 maybe 70 mph max, but they seem to drive pretty good for me, I've recommended the same place to a few other yota guys and they have all got .240 wall shafts and all happy with them.

I meant to say that I cant remember what size they said they used but Ricky told me that the joints would go before the tube HAHA!It was easy to tell it was heavier!
