Agreed, there needs to be more challenging trails.

The number of times I would go during the off season would be directly dependent on the difficulty level of the trails.

Mild trails = maybe once

Difficult to extreme trails = possible multiple trips

This would also give the possibility of wheeling in the snow.

It wasn't too many years ago that the Uwharrie OHV trail system was open year round.

I would especially if there were some challenging trails, I'm probably gonna make some people mad but the ure trail system is very tame theres not really any challenging area there once you get to a 33 or 35" tire. If these other trails your talking of are any more difficult than the toughest ure trail then I probably wouldn't go to ure anymore except with somebody else that's new to offroading.

I agree completely, that is the main reason why I only go to URE about twice a year, I can drive an hour and a half more and have more difficult trails.

Yes, I would go when the weather is nice and the ground is dry BUT if the trail system were public lands, I could see them getting shut down during the winter just like URE does. I think the winter shut down is actually a good thing for the land.

Perfect trail system:
Small degree of difficulty to drive the entire system, with obstacles through out, that you can play on, or by-pass

I would probaby be good for at least one trip, but like was said January through April is a good time to fix and upgrade. The more difficult the trails the more likely I would be to come though.

The more trails that are open, the better for rebuilding in my opinion. You could then shut down one trail at a time to rebuild instead of needing a full winter season to rebuild all of the them. Let's say, open more trails, even some more "extreme" stuff as the guys are saying. Then go thru and close and rebuil one trail a month throughout the year so the park can stay open all year. Sound crazy?!

I like this idea then the park could make more money year round as well, plus I've always like winter wheeling better cause my truck doesn't have A/C.
