went to uwharrie today and was kind of disappointed, we had a great time dont get me wrong. I was disappointed at the people that were there after all of the effort that has gone into trying to keep it open. First thing was when i was headed in, i was on the road up to Art lilley campground and there were 4 atv's doing donuts in the middle of the road in front of their camp site and didnt want to move so i could get through, after they cleared out of the way i went maybe 300 yards up the road and a guy from that same camp site who did not speak english riding a go-cart going the same direction i was passed me and my 22' trailer wit 2 rigs on it. Second thing i was disappointed at was that we were on daniel headed out where the flat rocks are and where the "no camping" and "no vehicles past this point" signs are and there were 8 jeeps parked in the woods stright behind the signs. It just sucks that all of the effort is made to try and keep the trails open by many, and then you have the ones that think its just a free for all because they are in the woods. End of rant.

It's not that bad during the week, if I ride that way I really prefer big creek.

Take a picture / video and report them. If we don't start policing our own then it'll get taken away. I've never been one for the law but if you don't feel comfortable approaching them you've got to go that route.

I was out there in the afternoon on Saturday and on Sunday morning. Did not make it over to Wolf Den or Art Lilley. For the most part everyone I saw was following the rules except for a couple ATVs riding double. I was kind of surprised that with it being the Zuwharrie weekend that I did not see one Forest Ranger out there.

I was confused about all the guardrail sections that look like someone took them down? It was my first time seeing those in all their hideousness but seriously people took them down? What purpose does that serve other than to make things worse?

I think there are sections of guardrail waiting to be installed laying on the ground

Unfortunately it is the new way of life out there I am afraid for a time being, but I am working on a way to slow it down. It might take me some time to do it but I am working that angle. I hate that I ask everyone including me and my better half to go out there on workdays just to have it destroyed the next day / weekend but it is getting there. I am hoping by this time next year to be able to make a huge difference out there. I can not jinx myself and say what my goals are, but it will involve pissing off a lot of the riff raff.

That is why I love wheeling out where I am for the next bit of time. No garbage, people stay on the trails, nothing bad at all really. And hundreds of miles of trails out my back door.

I am sorry you had to deal with the riff raff, but like was said contact me on here or FOU on Book of Face and we will point you in the right direction to try and fix Stupid.
