Voter ID. Why is this an issue?

Again - what's the big fucking deal if the polls need to stay open later to people vote? I'm failing to see why it's a problem.
As important as elections are, I don't understand why we don't bend over backwards to make it possible for everybody to partake.
bending over backwards? I think we already are. I mean not having to have an ID to vote and letting all these illegal aliens and dead people vote is bending over far enough in my eyes.

My thing is, if the polls are closed, then wait until the next available time for you to vote if its that important to you...no need to wait till the last minute and then try to sneak in like you had been waiting in line like everyone else for over an hour. that's my problem with it.

OMG! We went to early voting on Friday since we would be in Florida this week. The number of democrats at the polling place pimping their ideologies was crazy, I just don't get it.
I had one lady saying let's talk about your decisions before you finalize them!!

So I go to exercise my right and cast my vote today. While signing in the lady points to a notice on the table and says "please note that you will be required to produce a photo ID in 2016 to vote." In response I gave her 2 thumbs up and said "that's excellent." The poor lady had a look of disappointment on her face.

Told the guy at my precinct that they should've been required for this election. He didn't seem to pleased either.

Y'all make it sound like the liberal demoncrats are the only staff @ the pols. I thought it was set up to have even numbers from both parties?

if i were black or a minority, i would be insulted that eric holder or barry obummer or fat ass rev barber thought that i was too dumb to be able to get an ID to vote.
There are some who've figured out they are being pimped by there own….hopefully more will wake up.

I had my ID ready to go for this election. This should have been mandatory a long time ago. Treating people with kid gloves won't get you anywhere. Drop the hammer and get rid of these folks who don't deserve the right to vote.

But the poor people can't afford the $10 for an ID card!

I mean, not like we don't already give them cell phones or anything, what's another $10? Not like it actually costs the State $10 for the little 25 cent card anyway.......

I don't get why this is a problem. One of the last times I voted I gave them my last name, didn't ask for ID or EVEN MY FIRST NAME and then handed me a ballot for another Schoch in my precinct. I seriously could have voted and then gone back later and voted again with my correct name.

Just because you can't prove voter fraud doesn't mean it doesn't exist.....
There were cards at my polling place for the poor to order a FREE photo id. No longer a problem.

Yup, NC's new ID law even offers a free voter id card to qualified applicants, so no one can say the cost is prohibitive. I, for one, think this law is long over due. Now to work towards getting back to paper ballots to eliminate voting machine "glitches" and the potential to they have to being hacked.

I'd be OK w/ digital machines if they'd just print out a paper receipt for backup that the person looks over and signs. Then take a random subsample of the paper and check them against the digital as a self-check of the system.
