Vulcanizing

I used a 4" x 6" radial patch from www.techtirerepairs.com
I used their vulcanizing compound and beadsealer.
I prepped the area with a grinding stone and scraped it as per instructions. Then applied the vulcanizing compound, then applied the patch and rolled it flat with a wheeled tool, let that sit up and covered the repair in bead sealer.

Sorry for resurrecting this after 4 years, but...

I picked up a pair of Boggers that have a sidewall puncture each. Nothing huge and not really near the beads. Appears the PO used some type of sealer (almost looks like superglue?) that will likely need to be ground out/off to get it clean.

Just wondering if I could get them to hold air using your methods & materials above? If anything, what was done on the outside @Jody Treadway?

Had Clark Tire in Hickory do one of my brand new 39.5 tsls after a gashed the outer side walls and took a chunk out of the inside. Been holding up great for almost a year.
