It’s official, by the end of the month I’ll be living in Florida.

Time to move back to where I originated and I just landed a pretty sweet gig down there today.

I’ll be the new US location Production Manager for Legoland. They are owned by a group called Merlin Entertainment based out of the UK and they are the second largest Theme Parks company in the world. Second only to Disney.

I’ll be running the production facility where they build the models for Legoland and other commissioned projects. I have a design and engineering team, a build team and Metal Fabrication team with a full machine shop. And taking each project from concept to Installation.

There’s also a great deal of growth opportunities in the Company and potential International travel.

I’m extremely pumped about this as well, my nerves are a fucking train wreck thinking about all aspects of relocating.

Wow! This actually sounds really interesting....I keep thinking Monster House, Legos, and Jay Lenos garage sorta mashed together. Or at least something very not normal in a great way.

If I could get paid to play with Legos all day, everyday, that’d be the best job ever. Project #1 needs to be a life size, functional rock bouncer. Kind of like the Bugatti they just did.

Well dang. I never got to meet you! At least I don’t think?

Good luck man!

Something about a rock bouncer made out of ABS plastic just doesn't seem quite so likely to work out.
It'd be a great LOL to watch the body fall to a million pieces after the first sideways roll though.

@mbalbritton congratulations! That's an awesome opportunity and sounds like it will be a great fit. I can finally tell my friends I know someone who got to play with Legos when he grew up. I look forward to seeing you on the news because you've done some full on "Florida Man" incident :p

Congrats!!! That sounds like an awesome gig. We will likely be taking the kids to legoland in the next year or two... Looks like alot more fun than Disney, IMO!!

Congrats, dude.
Sounds like the chance of a lifetime for sure!

Took the kids to legoland about....5-6 years ago. They didnt quite have the park in full swing at that point. Tons of potential but it was really open while under construction. Have to get back down there and check it out one day.

That sounds like an amazing opportunity. Congratulations, man.

congrats!!! that sounds like an amazing job!!!!

That's awesome bossman. Sounds like one helluva job. For a company that large with product visibility that high, you're practically a superhero to every 12 and under child on the planet.
