Who's your team?

I'm in it for the Falcons and the commercials, because I despise the Patriots.

**Yes, I realize the difference between hear and here. Don't know how that happened.

Beasley and Jarrett...so Falcons

Who cares??? I got back home about the start of the half time show.I usually just watch for the commercials anyway but the ones I have saw are way to PC for me.Im a straight white that votes republican so I'm the devil.

Yeah...commercials have either been bad or a political shot. And what the hell was up with the HBCU stuff before the game??? Can you imagine the shit show if there was recognition of hall of gamers from Historically White Colleges and Universities.

Didn't watch but one ravens and steeler game this year!! Ive lost interest with all the rules and players being pansy ass boys that make to much to take hits, my woman's checking score on her phone for big game bc she's a falcon fan and seminoles fan! I Truly hope NFL goes out of business maybe a The troops/fire/police or every working person will make a bigger pay day out of it somehow instead of paying athletes millions to play football same for actors/actresses!! Sorry to all you inspiring actresses on here... :gay::flipoff2:

I usually watch some of the super bowl each year just for the commercials but never watch a game during the season,no reason for me to watch.

Not that I'm for the whole affirmative action BS, but technically most universities are HWCUs so that's not a very exclusive club.

Kinda like celebrating having a truck w/ mediocre gas mileage.

I record and watch on a delay - FF through game, watch commercials.
Mostly to see WTF people think is worth spending $millions on, and pondering what that means about society this year.

I get it...I'm just saying if it were a scenario the other way around, there'd be a shit storm.

They were talking about the Budweiser/immigrant commercial on the news last week and said they (bud) had spent 20 mil on just that commercial and the spot.

According to the inner webs, the sticker on the box my air filter came in and the label on that stuff I pour into the fuel I'm getting at least 35mpg out of my ton diesel.

Well fuck. Every year, once the Panthers are out of contention, I'm an "anybody but the Patriots" fan, and I'm continually let down.

At least Tony Romo isn't the biggest choke in the NFL now!
Didn't really care who won, but it was a heck of a 4th with a comeback to remember.

Matt

I think the biggest disappoint was indeed the commercials. Too much vidgame and movie crap, not enough funny stuff.

agreed.
Is this a sign that the economy is in the tanker, or that people may have wisened up?

I remember last year that there were only 2-3 commercials that I thought were actually funny and maybe 2-3 more that I thought were decent. This year, I'm had difficulty finding even one commercial that was decent. That said, I've read a couple articles that the NFL audience/tv revenue is trending downward due to a combination of game day saturation (games Thursday-Monday) and live streaming, and as a result, advertising is also going down. A couple other articles were saying that commercial premiums were at an all time high a few years ago, and whatever the standard amount of time for a super bowl commercial is, the cost for that slot is down about 30%. Perhaps NFL popularity peaked and we'll see the fanaticism start to normalize.
