Well that truck won't be speeding past anymore.

Some of the worst ones I've ever went over were actually a recess instead of a raised bump. If I remember right, they were about 6" wide, 3" deep, and perpendicular to the road.

street i live on is the main drag for the neighborhood. limit is 25 but i'm about the only person that does it. average driver is probably at 45. would love to be able to project a hologram on the road. wait till they just about clear the curve and toss out a pic of a dump truck headed at them in their lane.

back before i built my house we lived on the corner of our property at the road in a mobile home.
this was around 1986 and the company had just bought me a new e150 ford van with the 351
ho engine. every day for weeks a little ford ranger would speed by the house and the driver would
make that thing backfire. the wife and i quickly got tired of that shit. so one day i backed that
old van up in the driveway so i would be ready. i had just walked in the door when i hear him coming.
BANG went the ranger and into the drivers seat i slid. now mind you i live in the country with miles
of open road to give pursuit. caught the sucker about a mile down the road but didn't touch
him---he's speeding up the whole time. when we got to the end of the road the guy never stopped
just slung it out onto hwy 150 going north. well i slowed enough to check for traffic and there was none
so i pulled out and caught him within 1/4 mile or so and put the chrome horn to him. that little 4 banger
was wound out but the ol 351 had just began to breathe. pushed that dude up to 105 mph till he
hit the brakes about 2 miles down the road. i let go of his bumper and watched him sail on down the road.
never heard another pop at the house again.

Construction adhesive besides it would probably cut a tire

Or hopefully bend a rim?

But if they're not glued down, you can just look up surprisedly and say, "oh shit, must have fallen off that truck that came by here awhile ago. Sucks for you. Maybe if you'd been going slower you could have avoided that."

Don't want to do damage, just make them slow down.
really? if it's really a problem, solve it with one move.
Tires are not that expensive.

Fine, a nice 4' lone 2" steel pipe "accidentally" left in the road.

Where we lived when my girls were little had some teens and immature 20 somethings who would act a fool in the road.
Out of 10-12 homes, 8 had little kids.
One evening while the idiots were out and about, I casually walked out to the road while chatting with a friend on my handheld 2m ham radio.
They disappeared. Never had the problem again.

Speed bumps in neighborhoods suck balls. Never advocate for them. The speeders will just go another way and only inconvenience the residents. I hate them, even when going the speed limit you have to slow down. It is a shame that most people don't care about anything but themselves, but punishment for everyone is not the answer.

Buy a paint stick and load it w pink marking paint, put on a hardhat and orange vest. When asshole drives by act like your locating or surveying the roadside.......when he comes by spray the side of his truck/car w a new pink racing stripe.
