What happened in that van?

Ratlab- have you been near that area? I've spent some time in Baltimore on a few deals and while it easily had the best crab cakes I've ever consumed, there were some crazy seedy areas. Driving from the airport to a few locations felt like going through legitimately gang controlled territories. That's an interesting pic with the bloods, crips and NoI.

That said, have been to Kocos Crab Cakes?

If we did that every time someone got the bright idea to riot to "rectify injustice", we would quickly run out of places to live. Detroit in 1943, Birmingham in 63, Harlem in 64, Watts riots in 65, Cleveland in 66, Newark and Detroit's 12th street riot in 67, Baltimore in 68, New Jersey in 71, Miami and Chattanooga in 1980, LA in 92, St Petersburg in 96, Cincinnati in 2001, Toledo in 2005, Ferguson in 2014, and now Baltimore again (the sequel is never as good as the first one). That's just a small portion of the riots from about 70 years of history, but represents a LOT of real estate across the country. This doesn't even begin to TOUCH Jim Crow, either.

Many of these instances were sparked by rumors of unfair treatment by the police only to be proven wrong later. Apparently rowdy mobs only hear what they want to hear.... who knew, right?

Well, maybe...

Or the first time you do it then people will see the consequence and the riot "trend" will end.

An interesting side bar:

In the perfect world that exists in my head, yes.... it would work. In the country I live in, the minute it's suggested, every Tom, Dick and A-C-L-U- Guessed it attorney/pundit/ talking head/activist will get their panties in a wad and the mere suggestion would be fought in court until we've paid out the GNP of Switzerland in legal fees.

I wonder if any of the activists that were screaming about this being racist were surprised (as I was) that three of the officers are black. Sort of takes the race card off the table especially when the one with the harshest charge was black.

Going to guess yes. End the end.
But, each officer that was charged ,allegedly had opportunities to help freddy, as each of them "poked their heads in the van and checked on him multiple times, after he was severely injured"

Idk..sounds like they're saying , every cop involved ,had a role in this death..in a sense.

There again, the real irony is that the driver himself is black. So all the racism claims, visits from Al Sharpton, speeches decrying the racism by the POTUS, and the cause for the millions in looted, stolen prescription narcotics that are now on the street, destruction of city blocks from riots, etc. were all just "bad black cop on bad black perp"?

Oh but the best part will be the riots when, out of all 6 of them, only the black guy gets convicted. That's some real racist BS right there...
