What Harbor freight tools/supplies do you recommend?

I have also used their flap wheels, grinding discs and cut off wheels. I can't really tell the difference in them, and the name brand expensive ones.
The little orange handled pick set, seems to do what it was designed for, looks cheap, but does the job. The cheap (sometimes free) 5X7 blue tarps, will do the job for a while. a year in the sun will take them out, but at the cost, you need to understand they are disposable.
Zip ties, not the hardier ones with metal "zip" but again, at the cost, who cares.
Their air quick connect items also as good as what "sLowes" offers. so I keep extra's on hand.
Bought the hitch with 1 7/8, 2" and 3 5/16 balls. sure saves space of not having to carry all three, when you have to change them out on every trailer.
Bought the receiver winch tray for my Suburban. So far, so good. I know one pull (pulling trees up) was at a slight angle. Was pulling the burban, and a 98 F350.
The halogen 2 light telescopic work light, works great, no issues, unless you look into it!
Skill saw blades, table saw blades seem to do fine also.

In my opinion, comparing Harbor Freight to Lowes/Home Depot/Craftsman/Northern Tool/etc is just comparing the same thing to itself. They are all cheap China crap, but at least HF doesn't pretend they are something better. There are some higher end things available at the other stores, but they are generally in a different price category and not part of the comparison.

The 8" portable ventilator has worked well for me. I use it as a fume extractor of sorts in conjunction with 10" wide flexible ducting that slips over the end of the exhaust side.
8 In. Portable Ventilator

The Vulcan large welding cabinet is great. Rolls easily fully loaded.

Bremen welding clamps work as they should. They come with a lifetime warranty and are made in Taiwan.
11 in. Swivel Pad C-Clamp Locking Pliers

My general rule is, anything that doesn't have a cord.

That being said, the Pittsburgh professional ratchets are pretty good. Jumbo wrenches, stuff you use only once in awhile...

I have a 90a 110v welder - it's been a solid unit, it's got limitations but it does 90% of everything i need, and I've had it probably ten years.

Cooling system test kit is a solid buy, except it didn't include a "standard" large cap, like gm, Dodge & Jeep use.

Flux core wire & tips.
Roll around tool box is pretty good, but I think the weight limit is over rated, my bottom drawer slides fell apart (maybe 50# in that drawer).

Air tools are pretty good, keep them oiled & get the higher price ones.

Got a second hand oiled compressor or two, they work, only had one motor about catch fire, but it was cold and the pump drags starting until it warms up. Always unplugged it after that. Keeps up with an additional 10 gallon tank running 1/2" impact and air ratchet, just not enough capacity for a die grinder or sander.

My rule - Things that don't require precision machining to work well.
I'm still using the black impact sockets I bought 15 years ago. Have only broken 1.

Got an impressive 8-ish years out of an $8 angle grinder.
Air tools aren't bad, but tend to leak (again - precision tooling) if that bothers you.
I have about a dozen of the free tape measures, never had one fail, lol.

- 20 ton press

- Jack stands

- Engine stand

- Engine hoist

- CE 12 inch miter saw

- Breaker bar

- Pipe bender

I also like the gloves. For the money, can't beat em. Yeah, I wear em out eventually. But hard to say how many blisters, splinters they have saved me from having!

recently got some woodworking clamps, so far so good.

The roll of rubber toolbox liner (solid not perforated) is top notch. I decked out every box on the RV with the stuff.

Their version of a Pelican style water tight storage box is also a high quality piece.

Red shop rags and latex gloves.

Bought the 12v air compressor, $65 - 25% coupon =$49 The chuck it comes with would not fit my bead locks so I added a clip on type to it. Has been working great for air up after riding trails. Comes with enough curled up hose to reach all tires, built in gauge and carrying case. Sorry I couldn't get the pics any larger....

I have one of those also! works pretty good, can't say I have side by side compared them to the Viair(sp) or the smitty built, but the price, it comes out on top for me

My old trusty orange jack finally broke the spring that holds the handle up. Needs viagra....or a new spring.

A couple of questions
Can you use the % off coupons for tool boxes?
If it says Pittsburg, it's supposed to be life time warranty, what if it was a free item, will they still warranty it? ( would think so, no way to say it was free or not when it left the store with you)
and lastly...……...
One thing I really like from there is the 18" magnet strips. I use the for drill bits, bits for the driver, extensions for bits, socket organization in my box, My fridge was bought used, had some damage on one side, of course, the side that is seen. So I bought a dry erase board, screwed it to the fridge, and I screwed one of the 18" magnet strips above it to hold keys(actually, it holds some bent "S" hooks, that hold keys(Key rings) tape measure, a couple of tools and so on
So what have you used them for?

No. All the good stuff like toolboxes and welders don't get the coupon treatment. I've seen where throughout the year you may see a super coupon that you can use but they're rare. Usually it's either the sale price they display or if you're an Inside Track member.

Check out harbor freight coupon database. When I bought my tool cart it had a coupon that was better than their black Friday price
