LQ9 block/crank/rods
Speedpro hypereutectics, .02 over flattops
Melling rings
Stock heads, milled, 3-angles, and seriously ported and unshrouded. 2.055/1.60 stainless Patriot valves, double valve springs
Futral F13 cam - 230/232 112cl
Double billet roller cam
LS6 oil pump
Professional Products LS6 Typhoon intake, port matched.

Running some stainless longtubes/ported and polished throttle body, and spraying a 150 wet-shot of nitrous on it.

Should be slow. :P

Got all the accessories mounted and the AC hooked back up. I'm having my alternator rebuilt this week and I'll get that on before the weekend. I'm going to try and get the brakes mounted and the fuel system run this week, then just need to finish my brake lines and I can think about firing this puppy up. :)
 
Got all the accessories and stuff mounted. Still need to get my alternator rebuilt and installed, but the rest is in.

Then I dropped it down to see how it looked with the full weight in the front. I'm happy with the stance. :)

Oh, and installing this in my garage was one of the most unsafe and terrifying things I have ever done on a car. My floor jack wouldn't lift the car high enough, so I had to take two jackstands and place them under my tubular SFCs for "safety" and then jack the car up as high as it would go in the air with two bottle jacks and a bunch of blocks of wood. I could have used the floor jack for one side but I needed it to jack the drivetrain off of the dolly.

I had wheels/tires/etc stacked under the car in case it came down. :lol:

Not trying to be unsafe, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
 
Wheels layin down for backupwill never kick out like a jackstand. Just be sure to lay very flat if your under the thing!:eek:......I seem to remember more about the loud, red TA that I saw, summer time, window down, it pulled up beside me in the left lane and got cockblocked by a slow driver, I was in the center lane and I slowed to listen to the motor beside me approaching US1 from the west, the car went around and moved on down the road soundin sweeeeet!

I had both, but I had to put the wheels kind of far back because I had to maneuver the floor jack under there to get the transmission in. I was worried that even with them the front would plop down.

That very well could have been me, sounds like something that would happen while I was driving it. :lol:
 
You get this jewel rolling yet? I'm working on an LQ9 for my Silverado as we speak :D
 
Mine will be a pull and swap. I'm just waiting on the cam, pushrods, springs, seats, valve seals, and timing set to get here. In the mean time, I'm cleaning it up and checking everything out real good.

It's kinda sad that after all this work, there won't be ANY visual difference besides the headers I'm putting on it :rolleyes:
 
When you gonna tighten them strut bolts??or does a brace go on there? :D.......looks saweet and nasty!!! I would like to go for a ride when your done, but I might need a waterproof seatcover :oops:
