What improper grammer have you heard lately?

Wasn't going to comment, but this was just too good.

my dad is from oakridge, tn, so he's got some funny ones. even though he can't get rid of the accent, he's done his best to speak correctly after he got old enough to realize the importance when you own a business.

one that he can't seem to drop and makes me laugh is "energer" for "energy".

being a plumber, i hear some HILARIOUS lines around the supply houses.

while it can be funny, you have to realize alot of people really can't pronounce some words any different. it's just like someone that grew up in a non english speaking country. they can never lose parts of their accent/pronunciations.

Ive found that the way a sentence/paragraph/etc is written determines the voice I use when I read it in my head. Anyone else do this, or am I the only one with voices in my head?

First of all, it's spelled "grammar", and I heard yesterday a man say the word "Tourmanent" talking about basketball games. It wasnt just a fluke. He repeatedly said it and all I could do was laugh.
A tournament is a competition involving a relatively large number of competitors, all participating in a single sport or game. More specifically, the term may be used in either of two overlapping senses:

Yeah, but he said "TourMaNent"

Doesn't grammar and language change with society? For example "Spanglish" is becomming so prominent that it is actually being considered becomming part of school curriculum in some places. So couldn't all this bad grammar be correct in some round about way?
Besides, if youins git what i'm sayin, who cures? :gitrdun:
