What is this?

Cleaning out my dad's property, since he's a hoarder. Damn, what a mess. There are plenty of cool things around though.

This is cast iron. Looks like a cup of sorts, but it has two holes drilled and tapped in it. Any ideas? I may find other things to post about as well.

Looks like a headstone flower holder with set screws to secure the bouqet
 
Guess this is a good place to ask; What is it? May be seasonal, as this is the second time I've dealt with it. Been many months to a year. I first thought, mouse. Squirrel? Possum? Racon? Only happens at the basement entry door, & find nothing inside. Last about a month, last time. I tried some Repel, granular stink that suppose to repel animals. Washed the area; Clorox, Gas! Put mouse/rat bait out. I think squirrels or possum, got that last time. Could blow off the area, or hose off every day; didn't stop for a month. I put the mouse/rat bait back out again, & nothing 's touched it in a week! :poop:[always overnight]

Bats? I had some that got into my attic this year and the bat poop kind of looked like your pictures and happened at night.

That definitely looks like bat poop. My neighbor has bats that roost in their garage gable vent and right in front of their garage, below the vent, is exactly what’s shown in your picture.
 
+1 on bats.
I had them get in our siding corner trim...ended up paying the man to get rid of em....
