I was overly cautious at first even though the rig could do a good bit. Gained faith in it and myself and now Im quite aggressive. And once I flopped the first time it was game on after that.

ECORS wheeler for sure. I have run before in all 3 classes as a driver or codriver on more than one race......

I like to think of myself as a tchnical throttle jockey.
That is I am not scared to find the rev limiter, but I try to use only as much as needed to et where Im going. If I can crawl good, if not an appropriate amount of throttle may need to be applied.
If it breaks, it needed to be upgraded.
If it burns, I cry.
:)

I like to consider myself on par with Tim Cameron....... :shaking: But in all seriousness I'd consider doing anything Brad would do.... Stressing the word "consider" :driver:....

I think of myself as a technical wheeler. I would rather crawl something and make it look easy than horse power through it. If I had any HP that might be different. I hate dinging up my jeep.
you are so full of :poop:

well i take that back i did see a vid of you kinda crawling.......................ON THE GROUND:flipoff2:

I tend to have a total disregard for body damage, and beat on my truck in an honest effort to break SOMETHING. *truck is currently getting round 3* linked front and rear, so therefore I havent been riding this summer, but next year im wanting to hit the well known hard trails and find out if my junk does as good as i think it does.
This (should be) a pic of it in current (pre link) condition with no flex at all.

I've never been a hard driver. Trail riding and crawling is my cup-o-tea. I never abused my old rig (Granny), and don't intend to abuse her successor. The wild guys... I love to watch 'em, and have even jumped in for a ride with a selected few. :)

I voted #2. if I think the rig has a chance, I will try it. If I know there is no way in hell I can make, i will pass. If I know I am going to end up with a busted windshiled, I will pass. Although I do not go out looking for dents, flops, rolls, broken mirrors, they happen and that is part of wheeling, you just grin and go on. Being on a tight budget creates more careful and cautious driving style. I prefer the perfect weather situation, but who doesn't. If there is a 100% of rain and 45 degree out, I am going to stay home. If it ia 45 degrees and we are wheeling and then start to rain, game on. Although currently a web wheeler, hope to get back in the groove some next year.

Dude! You are crazier than I am. I have seen you wheel and you take no prisoners. I like it.

If yall've seen my new build thread or seem me on the trail, then you should be able to answer that question. I try to crawl and get bored easily and that results to putting my foot threw the floor. If I break something oh well, its a trailer queen and I'll re-build it stronger. And for body damage, I think the tailgate and floors pans are still 1/2 way straight.

I love it all. There is a time and place for everything. I like watcing the insane mud runs, and the hill killers. I like the big boy buggies and the stockers.
I used to love wheeling slow and technical rock trails in my old tj. It had a 4 banger, so even when i was hammering down, it was still slow and technical wheeling. I dont shy away from much, but always knew when the challenge was impossible for my jeep. I like the racing too. Its a different ballgame. Ive found that after a race, we notice stuff we did, and say,''i would never have even tried that line, if we were just wheeling...thats crazy!''

I have to say too, that wheeling levellineBrads jk at Dixie run, up a decent obstacle, while he watched and spotted, was really fun! We should do that more often:rockon:

Being on a budget, wrenching outdoors, and having a family make me appreciate the opportunity to just be behind the wheel whether it be to hit something technical or just trail ride.
