what tax rebate?

86 and got it at midnight last night....I am stimulated w00t

This has been covered im sure but just a little enticement for you guys waiting on a check still. I am in college and my parents claim me as a dependent. To the best of my understanding this is b/c of financial aid for college, if not for loans I would not be going, my family is not well off enough to help pay much of anything, but according to uncle same we make plenty:kaioken::kaioken::kaioken:... back on topic here, so because of this I will not get any type of "stimulus." Just be thankful you are getting something, some of us aren't getting anything. $.02

well...you arent getting any...your parents are getting yours, but $300 is still being sent out "in your name"

You are getting an education, and your parents are getting a tax break by still claiming you as a dependent... so quite whining and be happy. It'll be worth it later.

what the smart guy said!

you always say things better then me Dave!

i got mine 4 days ago

Well I'm not getting one.
my wife is getting two.
But since I've already blown the budget on the jeep, it works out to be, she gets to buy stuff with it.
:(
(Actually it's paying random people to cut down trees.)
Then my next paycheck is going to her buying a painting. :(

I had to pay taxes this year thanks to my employer not taking enough out when I changed my status to Married.
I had the payment debited from my account by the IRS.

I THOUGHT my stimulus payment would be deposited to that account but the IRS changed their position on that.

If you had to pay taxes and they debited the money from an account, you will be mailed a paper check.

Your total Stimulus payment was calculated as $1,800.00 and consists of the following:

* Basic Amount: $1,200.00.
* Qualifying Child Amount: $600.00 (Based on 2 qualifying children).

Your payment of $1,800.00 is scheduled to be deposited to your bank on May 16, 2008. If you do not receive the credit by May 21, 2008, please contact us again. We are unable to take any action until then.

Thank you lawd

I read the same thing that SkiHiK5 said. It was on the IRS website.
