What To Do Around Wilmington *Update*

FYI you can waste a lot of time driving. Where are you staying? Wrightsville Beach and Ft. Fisher can be an hours drive apart.

I'll second the Airlie Garden's recommendation. Great way to burn a couple of hours wandering around some beautifully manicured grounds on the water. Flamings Amy's is a must do.
 
A day pass at ft. Fisher is $15/day

we just came back Saturday evening. had a blast. we stayed at Carolina beach and didn't make it to Wrightsville. I love that area and the things to do around it. we tried wake and bake, but also hit up britt's. had the flaming amy's on oleander and the new 1 in Carolina beach. justed booked some more dates for Wrightsville in july and august. can't wait. have fun. :beer:
