What to do in Todd, NC

Well we got a good bit of rain today, that should help the river a lot.
Trashcan falls is not to far also. You can swim there, but watch where you jump in . People have been seriously hurt.
The watauga river there is deep and good for swimming also.

Well were on the way, hours is on the river, looks pretty badass.
Its in west Jefferson? Not Todd. Sounds about the same

Boondocks has a really good beer selection on tap.
I've seen signs around town for some bluegrass band playing this weekend.
I'm floating and fishing tomorrow in Todd
 
House is right on the river so were planning to float tomorrow and probably fish later on.

Saw a decent sized snake in the water tonight while fishing, with the rain though fishing was a waste of time.
 
Try fishing with soft baits (plastic worms and grubs) in a junebug color if you can find them. Bass and redeyes love them this time of year. I live in Jefferson but there isn't a lot to do here but its better than Todd. Boondocks in WJ is very good and I've heard Coyote Kitchen is good as well (not been yet). If you had an atv there is a lot of riding to be done too.
 
Well its only the end of day 3 and I am already trying to get the hell out of here for various reasons.
 
not trying to be a smart ass (well maybe) but it seems like you didnt wanna be there from the beginning.... So why did you even go? Are you in a serious relationship with this "girl"? Evidently she thinks so, if she thought enough to invite you on a family trip. Sometimes you just gotta make sacrifices to reap the benefits. Suck it up butter cup.... LOL:beer:

Its a long complicated story, but Im back now and all is well.
Went to the boondocks last night and made everything better.

Got a few Shotgun Bettys into my system.

No I did not... Floated the river every day, grilled a lot, did a little fishing, did a whole lot of relaxing and drank 2 cases of beer and a few margeritas.
It wouldn't have been too bad if I had drove seperate, but that was my mistake. hind sight is 20/20
