What to do?

Cause God's looking out for you :) That will be fun on the trails :driver:
Thanks JC. Got some things to do before taking her out. Needs gears, rear locker, winch, and rocker protection. Will be starting a mini-build thread soon.

Give me a shout if you want an extra set of hands when you start working on it!
Definitely will JC. Still putting the plan together, but it is looking like this:

5.13 gears (trying to match the crawl ratio I had with the PW)
Grizzly locker for rear (keeping front open for now)
Warn M8000
Home-made Rock Sliders

Will do the gears myself to save money. I know people usually stray away from doing this but I am pretty good at following instructions and pretty anal about things, so I think I will be ok. Having an extra set of hands will certainly be helpful.

I would consider a bigger winch. That mule is heavy, add bigger tires and bumpers and add in the mar factor and that winch will be a struggle.

What can a 8274 pull

They're rated at 8k, but they'll pull harder than that. I have friends that have used them (hard) on 7000# rigs with great success.

Nice jeep! Lose the dorkel before a tree takes it off for you.

^^^^ LMAO. Hood is cut for it, so it,ll stay for now.

That's what I found after doing some research. Unfortunately they are almost 2k new. I'll hAve to keep an eye out for a used one and just roll winch less for now.

Check pirate from time to time I see a few every once in a while. You could also look some others as well.

Very nice platform to build on, carry out youre plan and I think you will be very happy, address youre tie rod and ball joints in youre c,s as well or when the money allows. If you need any thing for that Jeep, hit up Carolina Metal Masters, they know JKs.

08.

There are used ones on here for $500 or so pretty regularly. I picked up a used one, threw a seal kit in it, added a new Masterpull rope and a Superwinch contactor, and had a great winch for under $1k.

I bought a used 8274 off this site for $400 several years or more ago. I have done nothing to it and it still works great.

I've been looking. There's one on pirate that is priced right but the guy won't ship.

Thanks for the heads up. Just pm'd him.
