I'm not getting yalls fastination with 93 octane gas? If it's going to run..it'll run on 87 just like it will on 93(especially in this cold weather) , but for less $$$. The compression ratio is 8.8:1...that ain't real high folks. I'd be shocked if after that long the fuel pump wasn't seized from fuel "gumming" over time( unless the tank was completely full or empty when parked). If the pump is good,then it should start.

SOOOOOOOO its finally time to update this thread..

After a day long battle with the key and tumbler i got it out..Hooked up the battery charger..Then i thought "Dang i forgot to go get some new gas"..Being the Lazy azz that i am i said bump it and turned it over..WELL on the 4th turn it cranked right up and purred GREAT..and on 4yr old gas!..Went to the gas station got 5gals of 89...Toped off all the other fluids, pumped up the tires and away i went..Drove it around for a while and i must say it shifts and runs out very good.. Haha you just cant beat a XJ.

Hah! I knew it would run. Somehow though, it just wasn't as much fun finding out what happened as I thought it would be. Maybe like 3 second worth of thrill time.
