What's something that you tend to always loose or misplace in your shop?

I like to keep my shop organized, but that seems to only happen every once in a while. That bad part is, I put things where I want them, but, when it's so seldom I use it, I forget where I put it.
For two days I have searched for my tire gauge. I don't remember when I used it last, but, of all things I need it for..... My mower! Getting old sucks!

We have a very large aluminum handled pipe wrench. It’s the most used tool around for changing hydraulic lines, fittings and anything that needs real leverage. Only issue is figuring out which truck it ended up in last. If it’s not in the bottom of my toolbox, it’s in someone’s truck.

At least it's not small enough to find in an engine bay the next time you work on a truck, lol, Not that I have ever found my long lost 10mm wrench before!

Tape measures. I have at least 3, and there are 2 places they should be, and they are always in 500 other places. It's usually somewhere I put it "so I wouldn't forget"

My "so I wont forget" spot has to be about full of stuff I've forgot.:shaking:

That's one of mine too, but, thanks to past Harbor freight freebies, I have several. So I usually can find one, in the right place, before a go through them all! LOL

welding helmet I hide it from myself constantly, lol.

Screw drivers. I always need one, and can never find the right one.

3/8 and 1/2" swivel extensions. All the damn time.

Pry Bars.... Can never find them when I need them, trip over them when I don't.

I am diligent about putting tools back in their place but for some reason my staple gun is something I have to search for every time. I blame it on the pixies.

This. The last tool I touched is the hardest one to find.
this used to be me, everytime I worked on something, esp before I got my building(shop) Now a lot of that is warded off with my simple little roll cart. What ever tool I have to use to take something apart, goes on the roll cart. When I put it back together, all(most) of the tools needed are right there already.

this. I keep buying them, they keep disappearing. There must be a done in my house... somewhere.
I need a tape-measure-detector-alarm at the entrance and exit of every room and just keep one dedicated.
I've even considered chaining them to the ceiling.

The other one is my beer. I've had Saturday morning where I walk into the garage and suddenly spot 3-4 half-finished bottles from where I gave up and got another one.

I'm one of the "last tool losers" lol and my plan when I build a shop is to do exactly what you did. Hopefully it works out like it appears to for you.
