X2 on the swaybar.
At the last minute, I put mine back on - mostly to make the drive out there bearable. Then forgot to take it off.
I'm glad I did. I didn't reallt crank it down tight, just enough to prevent serious sway. I didn't seem to have any problems w/ sway or tippiness, and the ride wasn't bad.
Now, again, I also was holding back a little in anticiaption of a second run, and only posted high 9s... so may not have been pushing it like others did.
Re: HP, I just don't see "high HP" being a big deal. Low/super underpowered, like a built up Sammy on stock 1.3... or heavy Toy on 35s w/ stock 22r... yes, that's a problem. But a stock 4.0 should be fine. In this course, there's just not that much open space to really speed up.
Oh and an Auto Tranny is nice for this b/c you only have to worry about 2 pedals - but be sure the lines are well protected, lol... a 5spd won't leave you stranded...

For uwharriecross I'm pretty sure a 4x4 baja type of rig would own the field. Uwharriecross was 70% about who could handle the jumps and avoid the trees. The other 30% (in the top 2 classes) was making it smoothly over the ledge and through the rocks. You needed 4x4 to steer well in that mud, just pushing the front tires around didn't cut it and the acceleration was hurt by a lack of traction. (I noticed this in my pre-runs)
From what I read, KOH was reversed and it was mostly about who could get through the tricky parts quickly so in that event the capable rock crawlers did well.
