whats your job?

I'm a design engineer for JIMS (Johnson Industrial Machinery Services). We specialize in conveyors/duct/etc. for the Tobacco Industry, and are also in the pharm., textile, and food industries.
 
PC Support Specialist/ Helpdesk

Basically I sit in front of a computer all day and tell idiots how to use their PC.
 
shipping and receiving,warehouse coordinator,fabrication/repair for a industrial vaccum system company,we build vaccum systems to remove dust from slitter machines(GONOVRIT) for some of the largest newspapers in the country,also central vaccum systems for the aerospace industry,boat building industry,animal bedding,semi-retired mechanic(ha-ha)
 
Shift Manager for the CHEESE CAKE FACTORY BAKERY in Rocky Mount, NC
 
3rd shift excuse for a machinist at Lorillard Tobacco Co. If it breaks and we don't have a spare(typicle) I make it.
 
I've got the lowest paying job here...I'm a parts dept. manager
 
I teach 5th and 6th grade AIG (Academically and Intellectually Gifted) students at Kannapolis Intermediate School. Basically, I get to teach the little geniuses 7th, 8th, and 9th grade material. Just wrapping up my 11th year teaching.
On most weekends you'll find me working the door at the Graduate on Trade St. in center city Charlotte. I get to ID people, sit and watch sports all night, and on rare occasions kick out misbehaving adults.
 
Product Development Engineer at Volvo Trucks. I work with the exhaust systems. Specifically the last few years have been the DPF's and now SCR's for 2010.

My official title is System Analyst, but actually a combo Windows server (36 total)/infrastructure (Cisco/HP)/telephone (Mitel digi/IP) Admin... when I'm not surfing :lol:
 
Rehabilitation Engineer with the state Dept Health & Human Services, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. Basically I design stuff to help people with various disabilities live & work to the highest level possible...we do everything from residential access, bathroom access & fixtures, vehicle access & driving modification, and various workplace accomodations as well...
pretty cool stuff...
 
I design/make all of the ads in the AT&T yellow pages!
 
If you walk on it, I can install it. From carpet to hardwood and everything in between. From rv's to courthouses and anywhere that needs a new floor. I am part of the ''white van society'' going from place to place and eating lunch at every mom and pops diner you can think of. Gas prices are killing me,my knees hurt, carpel tunnel is kreeping in,and the new housing market is in the crapper. Life is good!!
 
Build Light to Med duty Fire and Rescue trucks for Anchor-Richey EVS-- but I speacialize in their odd, aggrevating, one-off I need this done, oh and 99.99% of anything that got crashed burned or rolled over. We repair everything from the chiefs 1/2 ton through $750,000 plus ladder trucks. I don't spread body filler or paint for them but thats about it.
 
Work on Mercedes and BMWs at European Accents in Greensboro....buy and sell cars, real estate, and working on my slum empire.

Chemical Engineer: I design facilities that makes stuff into other stuff. I do drugs, fuels, chemicals. In my current job, I also focus on taking bad stuff out of the air and water. I am an amateur jeep mechanic by night ;-)
 
Im a student, which isnt really a job at all, and nets me no pay, how about that?!

If you were my little brother I'd pimp-slap you.
Being a student is it's own full time job (assuming you take it seriously like you should), and nets you an opportunity for much better pay later.
So sit down, quit whining, and don't let the Boone air entice you into a 7-year stay.
