It was a question on the radio this afternoon. So, at what point did the good ol' days end? Or are we in the good ol' days now?

When your dead...

Depends on what generation you're from....my parents say the good ole days were over in the 80's, my grandad says the good ole days were over in the 60's. I think the good ole days were over around 2008 and im sure my daughter has good days ahead, as long as her good days aren't stolen on account of the way things are going. But it's my job to fight for her good days.

Damn now I'm depressed....time for a beer

Easy: access to information. Free from instant judgement.

Internet, then Facebook, then Twitter, then Instagram. Instant access to info can conflict, educate, or confirm anything and everything you have been taught or told. And in the same sense, opened you to public and instant judgement.

Good old days I would assume were when we or they did things or thought things because it was all they knew. Or didn't know any better.

Probably relative to what social group or race you fall into as to what was exactly good about the past vs now.

I'll agree with the sliding scale. Growing up my parents/friends parents told us of how lawless and good things used to be back in their day. Now at 37 I can tell some of the same. It's depressing as hell when you think of it all.

Speaking of Dale Sr it has been 15 years ago today when he passed away.
Whoa! I remember I was in a hospital with a friend in critical condition. His family didn't want him to know Dale died, they seriously thought that might end him.

There only dead if you think they are, live the way you want and enjoy it. They'll never die. All those other things listed only take away from it only what you let it....

Sent that same message to Hancock this afternoon, I often wondered if anyone else listened to WBT....

Me and my 62 year old retired, handicapped father sat down in front of the fire and communed for a while tonight while listening to some old rock music from the late 60's and early 70's (his era so to speak). What is now inside the city limits and bustling with traffic was in that time a quiet and peaceful outer suburban community of dirt roads and solitude. Same place, only 45 years later we sit, sharing a friendship together. The album, Hawkwind - In search of space. He said that this album brought back memories of these good ole times. I explained to him as I explain now:
The good ole times are marked by our past highlights. The times of wonder and enlightenment that we encounter and symbolize a spark in our lives. Achievements. If we are to live always in these times of achievements, then never stop achieving. Never sit back and say "I'm done". Love more. Live more. Keep learning. Keep exploring, and always try to be and do more than what you did and were yesterday. What could ever possibly get old about that?

About the time when the high beam switch was taken from the floor to the steering col.

I'd like to have been around during the late 50's/60's.
Yeah but you'd be old now.

Good ole days ended when men stopped making it common practice to carry a handkerchief and when people started using machines to do the work a mans hand used to do!

My 79 has it in the floor I love it!

Depends on how old you are.
