yep, thats the rental.

anyone have a full tube chassis with heat, AC, ipod port and decent mileage ?

we're in the market,

maybe a tank ?

is it time for a beer yet ?

Dang man! I take it she wasn't hurt.

no physical injury, she's pretty messed up about it emotionally though, it's only the second one this month

would that keep someone from pulling out in front of the bus ?

this was NOT her fault, some one pulled out of their driveway in front of her

not backed out, but drove right out like she wasn't there

Look on the bright side. That isn't your car! Got that out of the way so the new one will be safe.

no, it's not ours, but we still have to pay the deductible, and deal with the fall out.

I hope this takes care of things for a good long time.

2005 she hit 2 deer in one hour in pretty much the same place on the road. hopefully the 'doubles' rule holds true for her and she's done.

Now, I owe it to myself to tell you that if you're taking the whole tribe cross-town and you don't want to feel a thing when some A-hole pulls out in front of you.....the Wagon Queen Family Truckster... You think you hate it now, wait 'til you drive it.

WTF Kevin ! Glad Holly is ok.

Please don't mention this to Val, she's on her 2nd deer in a month. #1 w/ the van, it didn't feel a thing. #2 in the car, it took the hit in driver door and rocker. I hope she isn't next !!

wait - why would you have to pay anything? Other person's insurance should cover 100% of the costs.

^^x2 if it is there fault they should pay everything....plus its a rental, you did opt for the xtra insurance right?

they are at fault, but until insurance and the rental car place get it figured out, I have to pay deductible to get another car.

THEN once it is sorted out, they will refund the deductible.

No, my insurance covers the rental if it is our fault, no matter whose insurance makes the payout, the end result if it is our fault we still get the non lubed end of the stick.

looking at a 65% increase from the first incident, this isn't her/our fault, so all it will be is an "incident" as long as we don't make a habit of them, we'll be ok.

the first accident is the first claim I've made on my insurance since I was 20yrs old, same with her

shit happens, sometimes you get some on ya.

could happen to any one of you/us, thats why we have insurance.

 Keep laughing brother and be thankful she walked away!

Having dealt with a rash of "I didn't mean to" (read: family members *WERE* at fault) incidents last year, laughing about it is all you can do! Also be glad you ain't the poor schmuck left standing in front of the carnage and "in charge" of pulling a cheap repair solution out of your ass...

Where did this one happen? Glad shes ok!

7700 block Covered Bridge Rd

was surprised you weren't driving a broom on scene this AM

On the way to work, heard the call go out though. Maybe you should just tow her out of Archer Lodge every day and pick her up again when she comes home lol.

I'm hoping it's just a phase, we've done this route for pretty near 12years, almost had the Camry trained.

now we gotta start over ( the Chevy wasn't really taking to us, it was gonna go away this weekend, poor manners and attitude
)

had a fool pull out in front of me in the pouring rain this morning about 100ft in front of me. Luckily no one was in the next lane so i could swerve out of the way. Maybe its the weather brings the idiots out. Good luck with the insurance company. Hope the wife brushes it off without the fear of the road now.

Nothing parties like a rental.

The rental place said they would sell me one of their cars.....

My response, " Ever heard the term 'Drive it like a rental ! " ?

Ya, me neither

given the the first rental had gone over 8k with no oil change, was at least a quart low, and smelled like Black & Mild, what would ever bring me to even want a car that has been a rental ?

Rentals and Fleet Cars I've been wading thru them the last week or so trying to find something worth buying.

A 2011 anything with 35k + miles already surely has been well cared for.
