Where did my thread go?

I had the truck for sale as a whole, but was gauging interest to see if it was needed to be parted out.

It is technically a joint operation so I needed a little time to get a parts/price list going as per the modnazi's request. That was about an hour ago that I got his request.

Not quite, if nobody wanted the truck as a whole ASAP I wasn't going to wait around to tear into it. But then again I'm not gonna rip up a perfectly good truck if nobody wants anything off it.

 @ Tony

If you didn't post a price, or if you broke any of the other rules posted in the Classifieds, the mods will delete your thread. We get hundreds of new posts every day in the classifieds, and those guys are tasked with reading every single one of them, looking for spam and keeping everything orderly. They shouldn't be made responsible for babysitting your thread until it gets updated with all the required information.

It sucks to get your stuff deleted, and it can be frustrating for newbs, but it keeps things running smoothly around here, and keeps the workload down for the Classified moderators.

Hope that helps.

Ok, a thread with a truck in it with a price listed as $600 seemed to fit the rules. Then the modnazi comes in and tells me I must post a list of the major parts and prices for it to stay living. So I respond with an, OK...I thought I was within the lines but give me a short while and I'll have the problem fixed. That yielded a deleted thread.....whatever. If this board is going to be like Pirate, I'll just go play else where.

I guess whatever his name is knows himself well, as modnazi definitely is right.

Rules are the rules and once you learn them you will be alright. Most of the time the no price ones get gone quick it had to be where you said you were parting it out. You should have kept that quite until you made up your mind. This is about the only site I use now besides prawling through C-list from time to time. Good luck with your sell.

*sniffel, Sniffel, wa, wa*

there is nothing special about you or your thread that warrented special favors. If you want to go to another board please feel free to do so. If you would like to sell your junk here then follow the rules. You had plenty of time to comply with my request & keep your thread alive, yet you chose not to.

Thread deleted, the end.

nobody wants you to leave. you just made a fool of yourself. you posted a truck with a price for the whole truck in parts for sale. if you wanted to post it as a parts truck make a list of your "big" parts motor, cab, bed, frame, axles, etc. and say i will sell whole for 600. you want get deleted.

and you've been here since 2007, so you should know the rules by now. but welcome and no this place is not anywhere near like pirate. we don't flame you like they do.

Modnazi strikes again.
Thanks to the moderators of this forum for a damn fine job!

I was going to post a smart ass comment, But that wouldn't be right since when I came to this site I made the same mistakes, I also made a thread like this one because I was pissed my thread was deleted. I got the same responses as your getting. I broke the rules in my thread and it was deleted. This is a great site with some of the best people in the sport/hobby. I still surf pirate, but I will be paying my dues here before anywhere else. The mods have to do what they have to do, Just start a new thread and list the prices, Its not that hard. Like I said I have been in your position and there is nothing you can say that will change anyones views of the rules or the mods. So it is best to move on and learn from the experience.
