The mods have to do what they have to do, Just start a new thread and list the prices, Its not that hard. Like I said I have been in your position and there is nothing you can say that will change anyones views of the rules or the mods. So it is best to move on and learn from the experience.
I don't think it's an issue of whether or not you can change somebody's opinion. My impression is that the vast majority of folks like the way the board is run and are willing to overlook a few things they dislike because the status quo is a decent enough compromise.
Deleting classified ads that don't conform to the rules is one of those compromises. Technically, the rule is that it can get deleted immediately without warning or explanation. There's a three year-old sticky at the top of the page that says as much. The mods have actually been replying in threads or sending PMs to give people an opportunity to fix things on their own. All that stuff takes time and energy that the moderators could be putting to better use elsewhere but they've been doing it voluntarily to keep things running smoothly. Mostly it helps, other times not so much.
If there's a better way to handle the classifieds, I'm certainly open to other ideas and I'm sure that Rob and the moderator team is, too.
