I've never understood why people do that.... like someone's going to look at that and say, "OK, then I'll give you your full asking price of $15,900."

I think I've sold about 9 of my personal cars in the past 8 years, and I've probably listed that many for my dad as well. Most of them through Craigslist and a few here on NC4x4. Just sold a truck last week on Craigslist actually.
Everyone always asks "what's your bottom dollar?" My rule is that if someone wants to haggle the price before they come and see it, they better be prepared to show up with that much cash in hand.
