Holly wants to build a muscle car.

We have found two candidats.

a 69 pontiac lemans

and a 80s model jaguar XJS

both are just shells and require a motor and tranny. we figure we'd just put a chevy 350 in either (not unheard of in a jag).

which car would you guys go for?

thats true dave..and a 350 will crush any value the xjs had.

of course a 350 in a lemans isnt stock either....but is bigger than the 326 that came in it.

the XJSs have value...well I guess the ones that run do. I think there are 4 running ones left in the US

They're both sweet...and don't get me wrong, I love them both. I think I've just always wanted an XJS though.

LeMans, but why a 350 when 455's aren't that hard to find, and for that matter scoring a rolled tahoe/suburban/2500 with the 6.0, auto and all needed wiring wouldn't be hard to do either. Think outside the box. If you're gonna put a Chebbie drivetrain in it it may as well be a cool one...

XJS looks cooler and is more unique, imo.

My family has many british cars. None of them work.

So if you want a nice garage/lawn/driveway ornament, then get the Jag. If you actually want to drive the car, then no, NEVER GET A BRITISH CAR.

Damn things suck. Sure, jags have a lot of power but they are overly complicated.

Oh, and get a British car is you LOVE being nickle and dimed to death.

Have you ever seen an MG with a Small block dropped in it? Talk about something that seems like a whole lot of fun!

My old boss had a TR6 with a 5.0. Scary fast. Stopping was a crap shoot as well
