I vote for the Lemans because the Jag (what's left of it will NOT be reliable. The wiring for the lights or anything else. Unless you are going to rewire the whole thing to start with. Oh and use DIFFERENT colored wires. It's much easier to trace a problem. Jaguar apparently didn't have that much common sense. I'm with LR Max. British cars SUCK!

The XJs have a 12 cyl motor dont they? My father is British and has owned many jags. A XJ6, XK8, XJ8 which were all garbage in my opinion. He still has the XK8 which is a beautiful and fast ride but parts are ridiculous and working on them even more so. Yeah you put an american motor in it would save you money there but British engineers had stuff bass-ackwards (like the battery in the 'boot'). The only thing the British got right were the Land Rover D90's.... Stick with the LeMans!

No.

The D90 was their closest attempt to getting it right. Its like trying to run a 24k marathon but only making it 17k before you cough up your lungs.

About the British Wiring, in reality, they usually aren't too bad. Main problem are connectors. Buying good connectors and then use of dielectric grease actually takes care of most of the problems. This is assuming the wiring isn't rotted out from sitting outside for 45 years (I mean, that would kill anything).

But they leak, run poorly, have no power and get crappy MPG. Go to a Chevy/Toyota/Ford dealership. Do they have oil catch pans under their cars in the showroom? No. Go into a rover/jag dealership and tell me what you see

Seriously dude, run, run away.

lol..ive always said that my land rover oil manual says that if you notice that there is no oil leak under the car its time to add oil.

I've looked through all my books and I haven't seen that.

Generally, checking the engine oil is easy, so are the axles (I don't check my front axle, fuck my front axle). But when I start to hear unusual noises from the trans-area, that is when I check it out.

On the dodge viper/trans combo, pics or it didn't happen.

And you were saying?
