Which parts house?

Depends on what I'm getting. Not so important stuff comes from AZ or Advance and the parts I'm a little more concerned about come from O'rielly's. Plus O'rielly's has master catalogs and they know how to use them.

Depends on whose working...I know their vehicles and choose by that.

Usually in this order
NAPA
Advance
Autozone

Never been to O'reilly`s

NAPA. most of the other places dont know a core support from a core charge unless the computer tells them.

yep depends on the part and what I want, I have site for all 3 bookmarked, and lookup price and brand available from each.

Oreillys, great service there. They also price match. One (the one in mooresville) even price matched rockauto.com for my buddys inner and outter TREs on his 06 silverado.

O'reilly's ftw they have never done me wrong ,every thing i have ever needed they always have had it , plus i get the hook up so that kinda helps my op lol

what ever happend to western auto i only remember one in kernersville whne i was younger

what ever happend to western auto i only remember one in kernersville whne i was younger

bought out by Parts America, then pretty much disolved IIRC

If I need parts it's usually Napa, O'Reilly's, Advanced in that order. For fluids it's either O'Reilly's or Advanced. Seems like O'Reilly's is the only one that carries plain old Dex/Merc Valvoline in the blue bottle. I buy a lot of Rotella from O'Reilly's too.

Just depends though, in a pinch I've bought it from where ever has it.

I use the local independent Carquest, quality parts and good prices, and they usually dont charge me tax....And they are open 363 days a year...But if I 'need' something they dont have either advance or vatozone will be fine. The Napa is never open when I need anything and the ORiellys is a joke, they try, but still have no clue

5 miles from the house all side-by-side to each other... Since I'm lazy, I hit the closest in this order:

1- O'Riellys ("sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name...")
2- AutoZoo
3- Advance

Another 1/4 mile away is the NAPA. Unfortunately, it's one of the smaller "independent" deals that only cater to old men throwing $100000 down for $10k worth of bolt-on "shine" for there classic rods. OTOH, the large NAPA warehouse is 7-8 miles the other way and they do me KILLER deals on filters for the CTD...

Carquest, then NAPA. Seems like NAPA's parts quality has degraded to about the same as Advanced/Autozone, though.

I buy consumables... oil, etc, wherever is cheapest or most convenient.

Napa
AutoZone
Advance

O'Reilly's just opened in town yesterday, haven't been yet.

im diehard Oreilly's...good friends with the manager etc etc....i pretty much have free reign of the store know how to work their system etc etc....and yes they know how to work the books...one of the only parts stores ive ever been to that will find out exactly what you need even if they have to call around for 2 days....and they will price match NETHING....i guess next would be queervance and then mexizone.....with napa wayyyyyy behind them bc they are NEVER open

I save a little at the zone cause I know the manager and everyone else. But really depends on what I'm after. If it's an odd part I go to o'rilleys. but some parts call for specialty stores like u-joints, u-bolts, bearings and so forth cause I just don't trust or like the cheaper name brands. Napa If I'm in a hurry cause it's closer.

For me, Autozone because it's closest. If it's something that they MAY not have I go to Carquest, they always come through when the others don't have it.

Seems like everyone is overlooking the cheapest place I
ve found Rotella oil....Walmart 10.50 gallon

Sometimes it depends on the part. Most times it depends on the service. I can go to Advance in Morganton and ask most of the guys to "step away from the computer" and go find what I need. Orielys in Drexel are a good group of guys too and allowed me to do the same thing. They are just the furtherest away from me. NAPA in Morganton is OK, and have some things the others don't, like Spicer joints, but their prices are usually a lot more.
All in all, after buying so many parts I get treated pretty good at all of them except the Zone, but I had issues with them years ago, so I don't get the personal touch there because I don't visit there as often.

For most parts Advance,They are close. For hard to get parts and questions Carquest. For paint/body supplies its NAPA.But for hand cleaner and oil dry theres an Autozone just around the corner.
