Which parts house?

For regular oils and filters...hard to beat Walmart . For other parts, it depends...Usually the Zone, Advance 2nd...for big ticket items I'll call around first for price, avail, brand of part etc....much faster than driving to check around. For specialty items, NAPA has come through for me before. No O'Reillys near me, but I like the stores....FYI...new store in Biscoe/Troy next to Walmart on the way to URE...

I used to use O'Reillys pretty much exclusively when I lived in Houston. I am so so stoked that they finally made it to Raleigh (opened a new store a few weeks back on New Bern next to Northern Tool).

From now on it will be O'Reillys, then Carquest, then NAPA, then the rest.

I try to give my business to NAPA because they are the only one in Stanley, but they are rarely open when I need them. We just got a new O Reallys in town, and Ive been pretty impressed so far. I bought some oil for our old grey market bulldozer, and the guy asked if I needed anything else. I laughed and said "filters for a Komatsu D21". Less than a minute later he said "do you need the 6", the 11", or both? We can have them tomorrow."

 Used to be that if the NAPA in Stanley was closed you were screwed.

Usually Autozone or Advance in Kernersville. I have only hit the new O'reilly's one time.

I can't stand the big NAPA warehouse on 68. Every time I go in there I have to wait forever to be served, and I haven't been impressed with the quality of service either. I have talked to several other people who have had the same experience.

Autozone becuase of rewards. Buy $20 5 times and get $20 free. It's almost like a 20% discount and I'm there twice a week so it really adds up.

If you havea rare part or if you actually want the part that day and not have to order it I go to Carquest main warehouse in Raleigh.. then after that I go to Napa..
then Advance..

but if i need some oil or something generic i just go to advance since it is across the street from my office :)

Advance Auto, O'Reilly then AutoZone.

Saturday I put front brake pads, two front calipers, rear brake shoes, a rear drum and replaced a wheel cylinder on my DD Ranger. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my local Advance had all the parts in stock.
