So, i think i have come down with the infamous Covid. I am unvaccinated by choice and applaud any of the two choice anyone makes.

So far, I am a little tired and have a sore throat. I cannot confirm yet as I haven't been tested plan on going tomorrow to either get a home test or an actual test. I am self-isolating.

Out of curiosity I noticed that there is no timeline of events as everyone seems to have a different experience. so, to those who have had it how did it go?

Just had it. Me and the whole fam. Twas a real hoot.

I was down for 3-4 days. I'm self diagnosing it as the Delta variant because I had chills, body aches, loss of taste & smell, congestion, etc. No fever though. We're just now getting our taste back. Beer still doesn't taste right so I'm not dare trying bourbon yet. When the dust settled I would say it took me down for a solid week.

Wife had a positive test last week. She had scratchy throat, runny nose, aches, chills, and headache. I had a scratchy throat, runny nose, and chills. I basically felt like I had bad allergies going on with bouts of not being able to get warm.

I got it At thanksgiving, to me it felt like having the flu. No loss of taste or smell, no shortness of breath or anything. Just felt a little achy and drained

I caught it earlier this month; my biggest symptoms were a high-grade fever (sustained 101 for like, 3 days, and peaked at 103 a couple times) and really bad fatigue.
Still had my sense of smell and taste, but once I started getting over it, I lost my sense of smell temporarily. All in all, it wasn't bad; the fever dreams sucked and subsequently getting vertigo so bad I could barely walk wasn't fun. Lost almost 15 pounds in 5 or 6 days so that was pretty sweet.

Had it. 101 fever for two days. Not too bad of a cough at all. No trouble breathing etc. No smell/taste for a week and a half. Slept a lot. Felt better after 5 days. Wife had me on zinc, D,C, and magnesium plus a nebulizer.

Strep throat/flu was way worse for me personally.

I had something this time last month near Thanksgiving. Kicked my ass for about 2 solid weeks. Fever, chills, body aches, extreme fatigue and complete loss of taste/smell. Boss made me get tested and it came back negatory. I was really PO'd. I was honestly hoping it was it so I could build natural immunity and talk crap. Apparently it was just the flu. I find it very fishy that the majority of folks I know that are unvaxxed (and will always be) are experiencing worse illnesses the last two years than ever before. All negative test results.

Strange because that's exactly the way mine was. I think you got a shit test. The loss of taste and smell is the biggest tell tale sign.

Yes, and I've heard this 10x over.
I did the drive-thru Walgreens testing gig where they slide you a blue bin with the swabby ma-bob in it and tell you to stick it an inch in.
I only stuck it in 15/16", so I'm sure that was the deal breaker.

Over the course of this I’ve tested positive 4 times and never had a single symptom. Testing was only due to a mandatory testing cycle my work was on. Was a very nice collection of time off and I got a lot done around the house. 🤷🏼‍♂️. Only time I actually felt like death and intentionally got tested was after getting a vaccination for JEV (Japanese Encephalitis Vaccination) due to our world wide deployment status. Felt like all the “symptoms” were met so I self admitted myself to the urgent care on base. Told them what I thought the scenario was and still got the nose swab and told to stay home for 10 days. Got negative results for that one 2 days later but my command told me to stay home for the remainder of the 10 days because the med community across the Army didn’t trust the accuracy of the tests. So short story long….. fuck if I know….

I'm not saying I'll never get it...but I've been around the world this year, only been home about 3 months total. Never once been sick. So...idk.

Got out of quarantine the sunday before last.I was already on day 7ish before I was tested.Jake and tonya tested positive the next day,Jake seemed to have it the easiest and I the worse. For me it was lots of head pressure, back and joint paint and a general feeling of shit.Tested pos on a Wed and got the anti-bodies on Thurs .Antibodies didnt seemed to do much for me BUT Im getting better and didnt have to visit the hospital so who knows. No loss of smell/taste just no appetite and ZERO energy.Had a temp of 100.2 the day of testing and my oxygen never got below 90.I have a lingering cough that leads to a terrible head ache but Im up and going and we're all on the mend.We didnt do Christmas w the family this year even though we were out of Quarantine. My grandmother is 90 and Tonya's dad is 78 and neither is in great health so we decided to nope out on Christmas and stay here.Tonya cooked a small meal,we exchagned gifts.watched king of hill reruns and took it easy.all things considered it was a pretty good Christmas.Went to my DR last monday and got a steriod and b12 shot that seems to have helped some.On a pos note I lost about 15 pounds in the two weeks I was sick.My SIL has it right now and is pretty sick.

My clan is in it right now. I had sinus pressure, itchy/watery eyes, sneezing, cough that started a day or two before Christmas. I had the same symptoms a couple weeks ago, along with my parents, brother so I thought it was the same stuff back again (which it normally does for me). Wife wakes up day after Christmas with a fever and aches so she did the home test and was positive. Checks the kids temps and both are 100 and 101, no other symptoms for my 8 yr old. Our 1 year old (birthday the day after Christmas☹️ ) had a runny nose one day a little cough at night.

My wife is the only vaccinated in the house and has had it the worst...she's on day 3 of aches and no energy.

Hopefully now my wife won't worry about it as much since we've all had it'll

I saw my Primary Dr. today, for a general check-up. Gave some blood so he can test things that a couple other doctors haven't.
And will check my Antibodies, to see if I have any history of Covid or Cron-thing. A few weeks back I had breathing problems & some dizziness with it. It seem to have cleared up. Heart doctor ran me through a battery of test, & just a month back had the yearly Ultra-sound. They haven't found anything wrong! Today's test, haven't posted yet.

Test are back : Negative on all counts!

I had it last November (2020) and that was all they said to do at the Health Department. Never had a fever or lost taste or smell, but did have chills and could not get warm. Body ached like I got run over by a truck. Worst after effect has been feeling like my sinuses are filled with broken glass.

My whole house went through it in the first week of August. Were all unvaccinated. Pretty sure we picked it up at Dollywood on vacation. Spent a week in a house with 4 other families and a total of 12 kids under 12. None of the others we stayed with got it, some vaxed some not. My wife came down with is first and had a mild cold symptoms. I was second and had congestion and extreme body aches. All three of my girls (9 yo and 7 yo twins) had two days of mild cold symptoms. My wife and I both lost taste and smell for 4-5 weeks. The real problem for us has been the lingering symptoms, most importantly the body aches and something the doctors are calling "Parosmia". Everything smells like a strong chemical mixed with sewage. Coffee, onions, Skunk, most dairy products, poop, red meat, etc. Its terrible. Pretty much anything that has a relatively strong odor now smells the same and smells disgusting. I can hardly stomach my morning coffee. Its been goin on since early November and is progressively getting worse with no end in sight.

As a welder I've learned to smell things while I weld like dangerous fumes or fire or smoke. Its sort of a defense you develop against burning things that are dangerous or if you catch a customers vehicle on fire. As of right now I cant smell any of that because it all smells the same. Really hoping it passes or at least the quacks figure out how to fix it.

went and got tested today took both tests the rapid said negative waiting on the more accurate one as i know you can get false positives and negatives. symptoms are about the same today

I've heard about that parosmia, and that sounds horrible. I hope it passes sooner rather than later.

I was vaxed, still got it back in end of September. Two days of hell, fever, terrible body aches and no taste of smell. Then was the fatigue that accompanied it for another 3 or 4 days. Worst I had felt in years!

Got a call from Mom today and looks like her and her boyfriend got it. She has Lupus so she's freaking out. I didn't talk directly to her but the Mrs said she sounds like shit.
