The home workout equipment listed on here a couple months back. He decided to commit to being fat instead??? Can't seem to find it in the search.

That's literally what he said in his post, or I wouldn't have said it. Figured if I remembered it, someone else might too...or the poster will read this and know I'm talking about his thread instead of some other one.

I was planning on taking some pics and listing our treadmill and elliptical machine for sale this weekend.

Reebok 1000X elliptical

Haven’t even checked to see what they are worth yet. If interested let me know.

Value depends highly on if they have ever been overloaded with clothes hanging on them.
 
These have been used quite a bit for intended purposes. I was a competitive runner but now I’m planning on switching to cycling. Before these become open closets I’m gonna sell them cause I know their fate if left to fend for themselves
 
Have you ever noticed most ads for used exercise equipment say "like new" or "barely used" ???? Take the hint,they didn't use it and neither will you.

Appreciate it...never been much of a runner...more of a weights/bike/plyos guy.

It's the difference between renting and buying. When I lie to myself that I'm actually going to work out, If I pay gym membership dues, I'm just out that money. If I buy someone else's barely used equipment for pennies on the dollar, I can still sell it when I'm done lying to myself. But used to be an avid gym rat, and need to lose 125lbs...this is happening.

Our treadmill has been a great shelf. Holds boxes really well.

Actually I was just telling my wife, I wanted to regear the treadmill so it moves really slowly, and put a giant trash can on the end. So that any boxes left on it have a 1-month period before they just end up in the trash, b/c it was obviously something we didn't need..

There was a guy up in Cornelius that was selling a home gym complete with free weights/rower/squat rack for around 2k on Craigslist a couple months ago. Generally you can find good deals on home gym equipment...just have to wait till mid February after they haven't been used for 3-4 weeks:lol:

Here's the trick - buy heavy equipment, because your "exercise" will come from:
- Assembling it
- Moving it to another room after not using it for a while
- Moving it again to a basement, garage, or shed
- Getting it out again later to take photos for Craigslist
- Loading it in someone's truck and happily watching it go
