Whose got best BBQ in Eastern NC?

Parkers? Thats crap food! :)
The corn sticks are OK, but they are usually all grease and the bbq is usually dry, same with the chicken...

Bills in Wilson is better than Parkers.

But, those 2 are nothing compared to Skylite Inn in Ayden. Skylite Inn is awesome!

But even better than Skylite is B's BBQ in Greenville! Best BBQ I've ever had! Ribs are to die for. Anyone thats been knows it and its a run down shack with zero inside seats and lines that travel down the side of the street, even in pouring rain! If your not in line by 11:30, your luck if you get anything.

Never had the pork bbq, they are more of a chicken place, but Keatons in Statesville (way off the beaten path) is some of the best bbq chicken Ive had. Figure some of you folks have been there, started going with folks from Church when I lived in Mocksville, haven't been back much in the last few years though.

Hannah's in Claremont is pretty decent, but my preference is Hickory Log in Forest City, on and let's not forget about Bridge's BBQ in Shelby

I wasn't going to say it but not being out east I didnt. But since Chip said it first I second Hickory Log. We eat there at least once a week. That is when I'm not firing up the cooker and making my own.

I agree, Bills is better than Parkers for BBQ but Parkers has better Chicken so depending on where I'm at I change it up.

Pops whoops em all but that's not even fair. He doesn't have to cook pig after pig after pig for u hungry asses so he takes his time and does it right:bounce2: <-the only way to get really great bbq - slow, home cooked ftw!

Wife daughter and I just got back from Bill's.

I've had his stuff as a catered event and it was good.

I wasn't too particularly impressed with the spread tonight, could be me, could be just a not eventful Friday night.

Coleslaw was pretty watery ( good, but very wet ) the pulled pork was ok, kinda dry, I had some off the hog as well, and it was greasy, chicken and pastry was bland, no flavor, fried chicken was dry as well. We'll try again soon, maybe we went too late and the stuff wasn't as "fresh" as it could have been. Hushpuppies were good, corn sticks were greasy.

I've had Parkers a few times in the past, and well, over cooked and dry, both he pork and the chicken. even saucing the chicken didn't help much. 'Nuff said....

Quite honestly, the best pig I've had was cooked by a couple ole timers from down east in the parking lot at work. started at 4am, cooked over hickory coals shoveled out of a burn barrel and spread under the pig in the cooker, done about 11:30am just in time for lunch. no grease, and you could taste the smoke in the meat. good stuff !!

Pulled pork isn't my fav, but it's good, I'm more of a rib guy, one day I'll make a smoker/cooker and see how bad I can destroy a rack of pork or a brisket.

If you are ever in little Washington try Hog Heaven. The barbecue is always clean and taste just right. They have the best sweet hush puppies. And don't forget to get a shrimp burger while your there.

they have really good hushpuppies too
they have a new place in garner now too, on 401 near walmart, fyi

We do breakfast there atleast once a week at the new place. ive not yet had their bbq.
Wilbers is fawsome!, Clide Coopers is for my money the best in around Raleigh. Stameys in GSO is good, their chicken is great, but Mountain Chicken in WInston is possibly the best Chicken anywhere. Also try the Mac and Cheese.
