Why can't I keep up with a roll of Teflon Tape!!!!!!

for me it's 10mm sockets. I have like 4 in the tool box right now though :)

What was it earlier? Best way to find a lost tool is to buy a new one? yeah. then I end up finding the old ones and have spares!!

Mine is my entire 1/4" socket set. If I don't take the socket off the ratchet or extension and immediately put it in my toolbox, it's gone forever. I know for a fact that I've easily bought 4, 5/16" and 3, 3/8" sockets in the last 6 months, not to mention the ones I've gotten in kits.

Yep,How about 10 mm sockets?I know I saw something about that on here.If you have ever owned a 80's forward Chevy then you have probably bought 200 of these!!!

Hate to Drag it up again, but Damn 10mm.I spent forever finding one yesterday. There must be some sort of 10 mm eating vortex that drops out of hyperspace and sucks them up!!!!

Funny you mention that. I was working on my Sisters Sable and my girlfriend's Civic...I went through 2 10mm sockets, 1 10mm wrench and 1 10mm flare wrench this weekend. They just disappeared, I have every other tool I used this weekend, but the 10mm's.

Funny, reading this whole thread I was thinking...no problem finding tape measures, electrical tape and teflon tape/paste...but those fucking 10mm sockets drive me nuts.

Yep 10mm,the bane of my fucking existence the other day.I don't need them but my wife's SUV was acting funny the other day and GM must have been having a blow out sale on 10mm bolts when they built it.After awhile you just give up on using channel locks and say" Screw It,take it to a Damned Mechanic"

I have one small drawer in one of my tool chests that has everything that I typically lose.

step drill bits
1/2 sockets
socket adapters
socket extensions
and...
10mm sockets

electrical tape seems to be another one but I have another draw with everything round shaped in it. (cutoff wheels, tape, etc.)

I have never thought to have a drawer with"everything Round" in it yet it makes total and complete sense to me!!!!!!

I cleaned up my shop tonight. Worked about 2 hours, only got about 1/4 done. I started with exactly one roll of teflon tape in my fittings drawer....now I have sixteen. White, yellow, pink, I got it all. Wonder how many more I'll find?
