Does anyone run a Bad Lands 12000 Lb Winch from Harbor freight? I have read some good reviews but would like to get some feedback from actual 4 wheelers that have used them.

Oh, I love when this questions is asked, its a hell of a show to see all the responses.

Hell Lou, You didn't even buy the right VEHICLE....much less the right WINCH. Of course you like to see all the bashing :p

I wouldn't trade my warn for any other make of winch,, period. When you are hanging by a cable and your on welfare is in question. It makes a difference.

The brake doesn't work on my 9500Ti, so I wouldn't be hanging from it anywhere. My Smitty and Engo never let me down.

I put a HF 12000 on the back of my truck. It's not fast but it doesn't quit. I'm pleased with it especially for 299.

I'm with Jason on this one. When I'm wheeling I usually have my family with me. The only winch I trust is one with the Red W on it. Over the last 20 years the only thing I ever had happen to a Warn was the power out solenoid went bad on XD9000. A quick call to Warn and I had a new one on the way for free.

I think I have had about 14 Warn winches throughout the years and they cover everything from the base m8000 to my current Zeon Platinum 10S.

With that said I guess any winch is better than none but I have seen some winches come apart or fail at bad times and bad things happen. If you can afford a Warn I would seriously consider it but if all you have for budget is a badlands that is better than no winch. What are you putting it on? I have a Warn M12000 that I'm thinking about selling.

Thanks. everyone, putting it on my 2017 wrangler unlimited. I am on a budget right now, so much too add not as much money....Ha Ha

Thanks NCJeeplover I have been looking at the Smittybits also.

For the same price I would get a smittybilt. Ive had 2 and have several friends that also have them and we've all had good experiences. I would trust them.
This is probably the same situation as someone mentioned in the $1000 welder thread. They all come off the same assembly line in China. If we ordered a container full we could get them with NC4x4 logo...

Superwinch or a quality Warn. Cheap Chinese shit needs to stay on the shelf.
