Window Tint Question

I see cars/trucks with Limo dark tint here on a daily basis. It's so prevalent its ridiculous. The only reason it chafes me is because I got a ticket 10 years ago and had to strip mine off :(

That and the license plate covers tat are so dark they are unreadable......

Here's the trick you can get out of a tint ticket by showing up to court with pics of your vehicle without the tint take pics before you get it tinted keep them if you need them show up to court with your evidence.
 
I'm at 20% on my back and rear side windows and I can't see SHIT at night when I'm backing. I don't know how you 5%ers can back a trailer on an even overcast day.


I guess I'm too old to be redoing shit. I'll keep mine legal and use sunglasses
 
another thing to consider. if you have never been in a LE or Military situation, tinting your windows raises your 'risk' level.

That doesn't work in Mecklenburg County. You have to go by the SHP station and they will sign off that it has been removed. You take that document to court with you.
 
Dang, hard to believe new Hanover county isn't so strict.
 
Got pulled here in La. same rules down here 35% on the front 2 and do whatever on the rest of the truck/SUV. Cars have to be 35% all around. I have a 2010 white 4 door cummins that had 20% all around. When I got pulled the LSP (Louisiana State Patrol) straight told me I wouldn't have pulled you if your truck wasn't light colored cause it makes the dark tint stand out more. I stripped the front 2 and put 35% on. I was pissed cause there was literally a car that blew my doors off on the highway right in front of the cop as we both were passing him but instead of stopping the speeder (who was texting while steering with her knee) I'm the one who gets pulled. I got the whole "security" thing but I also got the whole you're a cop who either a.) got beat up in school or, b.) didn't get laid last night. That shit chaps my ass....

Use the force. No seriously you can't see shit at night, don't even try to back without help.

Also probably knew you were military and that area was known for harassing them when I was there back in the day.

It was a day off and I was in civi's headed up 28 to Alexandria. It was a nice day and I had the window down too which further pisses me off. When he pulled me I sat there with my hands on the wheel cause I was carrying (I didn't know any better based on the other states I have lived in) and then he proceeds to yell at me via the bullhorn on the car to meet him at the rear of my vehicle. Once he got out he walked right passed me and with a glance said "stay here", walked to the driver door, opened it, rolled my window up far enough and stuck the meter on it. That sent me about over the edge. DA said he was excersing his right to establish probable cause. I say they are all a bunch of crooked ass mofos. I called my buddy at JAG and wound up getting out of it but still. Fuck this crooked state and the parishes that's it's made of.
