Winston-Salem Bound....

Deffinately enjoyed it. We ended up going to WS Prime. Very Pricey! Steak was not worth it. Too small for the price and way over done. Well done in my book does not mean crispy outter black shell! Salmon was good though. LOL! Appreciate the time you spent away from the wife it helped to not think about what was to come. Let me know how the fix works and when you guys go out ridding again. I'm dying to get wheeling this and next month before they close URE.

15 seconds of fame?

Well Ghost, I'm sorry I missed meeting you. Maybe next time or out on the trail (I, too, hope to make it back out again a bit more this year).
I thought about you guys on Sun night... while I was at the Yard House here in San Diego... which has > 100 beers on tap. Quite an impressive setup.

Meanwhile I got an email yesterday, saying "You're on the BBC". Aparently the research I presented here was a big hit w/ the press. Low and behold, my first real quote as a scientist (makes it sound like I know what I'm doing - got them fooled!).

Then wife calls me, it was on Yahoo news headlines. Even made the NY Times... supposedly something in the W-S Urinal coming out too.
Talk about "junk news" these days . Aren't there important things going on in the world?

Now that's a study I wouldn't have minded being a part of. However, to your conclusion, I have to offer a respectful "duh!" ;) I guess that whereas it's common knowledge that the loss of one sense typically heightens the others, it hadn't been proved that the brain would deliberately divert attention from one sense to focus on another. Makes perfect sense, though. Have a safe trip home, Dave.

Yea do have a safe trip home. I am home finally. Looking forward to meeting you guys in the woods.

Well, I'm guessing it's too late now, but the Bonefish Grill on Stratford is excellent, if you don't mind spending a bit. Get the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer. You'll cry, honestly.
Glenn, it was great meeting you last night. Sorry you had to suffer my ugliness. If Dave had been there, he could have distracted you with his ineptitude, though! ;) I had a great time, and you truly are a stupendous individual. A rare breed. Your story should be published someday. You could make public apperances. When I got home, I had to wake my wife up to tell her about it. I hope to see you on the trails soon!

I go to bonefish just for the bangbang... it is the best uh.. anything i've ever tasted!

I thought I would find this and update it. I released my info to the NMD program a while back. It basically means they can give my contact info to the recipient that I donated for. Well last week I got a call from him. spent 2 hours on the phone and was very pleased to hear he is doing well. He lives in upstate New York and has twins like me. After loosing Caroline this helps to ease the pain to know that others are getting helped because of her sickness. The community I live in lost a little boy this week and it reminded me of how important it is to get people on the registry. So if you are not a Bone Marrow Donor check into it and get on the registry.

In a word, wow. Glenn, I still think about you on occasion. Our dinner was one of those instances in life that makes you want to be a better person. If you're ever up this way again, let me know. Dinner's on me. I haven't signed up for the donation program yet, but I may very well do that now. Congratulations on discovering one of the recipients of your gift. Keep fighting the good fight!

I enjoyed it immensely. TY for the kind words. I will post up when they do the drive at USC this year. If you or anyone is up for a day trip to Columbia to see some hot Sorority girls its as easy as a cheek swab and some questions.

Had to look this up because in my old age I could not remember when I did this.... Hard to believe its been 5 years! I talked to Gill just the other day, Gill is the recipient of my blood stem cells, and he is still doing well. If you hear of a Bone Marrow drive go and sighn up. Last week I gave platlets which I had never done before. If you don't mind a drive there is a Bone Marrow drive at USC in Columbia soon.
