I work on concrete all day as a parts man at a tractor dealership. I'm working in a 30,000 square foot parts warehouse most of the time. What do you all suggest for a durable and VERY comfortable work shoe or boot? I'd prefer a boot like shoe and one that comes in brown. Sneakers aren't an issue during the warm months, but I don't wear sneakers with jeans/work pants.

I prefer Redwings. They have a fantastic warranty and they are super comfortable. I've had Wolverines, Rocky, Redwing, Georgia, Justin, Carhart, etc. and have found Redwing to be the best in comfort and durability, hands down.

For a work boot, I'll only wear Redwings.

I would go with the redwings as well, I sill have a pair that I bought back in 01-02 when I was welding for HyQual manufacturing. On concrete for about 9-12 hrs at a time with only a 20min lunch. they were comfortable enough for me to wear in and out of work.

X eleventy on the Red Wings.

I haven't found a pair that I really like yet. I've had 3 pairs of 3 pairs of Justin Boots...2 pairs of Roppers and 1 pair of Loggers. The second two pairs were free..I won't buy another pair of them.

Just try several on, It depends on the shape of your feet and the way the boots are made. I personally hate the way red wings feel but love timberland pro's.

im like everyone elese and all that was listed and justin makes a pair that are leather upper and almost a rubber lower they are black in color and thats the only ones i found that were for me only draw back the soles didnt last long but for 100 bucks they lasted two years of welding and walking aound freightliner

I liked my wolverine durashocks but they eventually wore out after a few hard years, now I got some justins and I like them too

I 've done commercial concrete, steel construction and now metal fab for the past 13 years. Sears Diehard are the only boots that last. They have a tall boot, mid top, and shoe, also you can get the width you want. Flat on the bottom, less tracks in the crete.

what do you guys like that is oil resistant , i work for honda as a tech and my shoes last bout a year, i have used sketchers work shoes , but now the ones i have now are hurting my heels really bad when i get up in the morning. i need something light , oil and slip resistant.

I have had a couple pairs of Timberland Pro's, a set of Rocky's and several of the Wolverine Boots....all seem to be pretty good especially when work pays for em...been partial to the Wolverines lately though...just got a new pair last week haven't even worn em yet....

I currently have Redbacks ( Spider shoes according to my Daughter ) I like them, I do have " The Walking Store" insoles in them, and they are quite comfortable.
I'm a big dude, so shoes that are comfortable are a must.

I also have a pair of Carolinas, I like them, but they need the insoles, I haven't gotten them yet.

A sole that is OIL RESISTANT is key, slipping and sliding around on a greasy wet floor, sucks, is dangerous, and will fawk your back up.
I've had a lot of guys tell me I was full of shit, till they tried oil resistant/slip resistant soled shoes.

The best shoe is personal preference, I like the Redbacks, except that I have worn out the toe to the steel toe in about 6mos, but then, I do crawl around on the ground a lot.
TOE SAVERS will help when boots are new, Shoe Goo and brake cleaner (to draw out oil so Goo will adhere) when they are worn.

Soles with good arch support and heel cushion are also key, especially for folks who are on concrete all the time.

Heel spurs suck, and they don't get better with crappy shoes.

I have also had a slew of shoe inserts, insoles, The Walking Store seems to have the best ones ( for me anyway ) thought they are quite spendy.
