THIS WAS A 95 STOCK YJ AT ONE POINT I BOUGHT THE YJ 2002 FOR MY FIRST CAR AND THATS WHEN THE JEEP SPENDING ADDECTION ALL STARTED. FIRST THING I DID WAS PUT A 3 IN SHACKLE LIFT ON 33"S A LIL DANGEROUS BUT NOT THAT BAD THEN FEEDING THE ADDICTION I WANTED TO GO BIGGER SO I PUT A 2IN SHACKLE 4IN SUSPENTION AND A SOA ON TOP OFF THAT... WITH NO SWAY BAR. AFTER A COUPLE OFF YEARS MALLCRAWLIN/MUDRUNS I BOUGHT A TJ AND THEN I NEW I WANTED TO TURN MY HEEP TO A TRAIL JEEP A SO I GOT MY BUDDY CHRIS AKA NOVACANE85 TO DRAW ME SOMETHING UP WE CAME UP WITH A COIL CONVERTION SETUP SHORT 3 LINK REAR wish bone style AND A LONG 3 LINK WITH A TRACK BAR SETUP


THE AXLES I GOT WERE FOR A GOOD DEAL DANA44 AND A FORD 9IN GEARING IS 589'S AUSSIE LOCKED IN REAR AND MINI SPOOL REAR.
KEEP IN MIND THIS IS MY FIRST BIG BUILD PLUS IM BROKE.

WE STARTED BUILSING AXLES I WAS A LIL NERVOUS DOING THE REAR SEEING HOW WE WE WERE TAKING ABOUT 2INCHES OFF THE BOTTEM BUT AFTER A LOT OFF TRUSSING AND PLATING AND WELDING WE FIN. THEN WE GEARED IT. THEN WE STARTED THE CUTTING AND GRINDING FIRST WE TOOK OUT THE REAR DANA 35 P.O.S . ONCE WE GOT UNDER AND STARTED ADDING UP NUMBERS WE STARTED MAKING THE LINKS WASENT THAT BAD

after a coulple weeks we got done with the rear then we turned her around and started bulding the dana 44 and cutting and taking out the d30 from under it. stared making links and welding a crap load of brackets.

thus is fun well my skid plate was one of my favorite things its 3/4in thick and the bolts are all countersunk i got it all set up to slide on and off rocks with out gettind stuck i sit like 25 inches from ground to skid i dont think its that bad
 
o yea my rear end is a 6 lug 9in that sucked because i was determind to run disc brakes all the way around and after weeks and weeks of test and fit i finally asked and some one said an 80 model chevy roter would... i tryed it awsome!!!! it worked then bought a weld on caliper mount and a big chevy caliper
 
cool build. i am working on a similiar conversion. how much ground clearance did you gain by shaving the 9" rear?

well after long week of work we got her driving my brakrs arnt that good yet because of my stock master cylinder i got a 78 mercury marques master cylinder on the way hopefully that will be enough seeing how i got big as calipers
 
the other day i was out testing my heep and did a really long burnout aka 1,2,3 then let out after a loud snap that sucked cuz i had a long 2wheel burn out mark and ended up with one lol our trip to callelantee in mt city tn is in a couple of weeks.....
 
so after i cryed to my girlfried who knows i love my jeep and new i was looking foward to this trip SHE DISITED to give me an early b-day prez so she orded me a set of mosser 40spline cromolly axles and to top it all offffffff a set of dana 44 cromolly inners and outers she said the ring i get her one day better be more then 100 dollars lol

thats what you call marriage matterial
 
 
that pile of :poop: is gonna break in half and u better find a better welder a 2yr old can do better than that. i just hope u dont live around me if u plan on driving that pos down the road. so if u want my opinion stuff a rag in the gas tank and light it :flipoff2: oh by the way i know of mexicans that have better jeeps than that rolling:poop:!!!!!
