I'm going to be just south of WS tomorrow, at lunch time. Any recommendations where to eat? No chains I like to try new places.

Cincinnati
East of Texas
Maybe village tavern
They all look good. I've got a noon meeting, which would be easy in and out, not sure when I'd get to any of them.

Slappys is good if you can catch them open maybe we've been off on our timing but can't catch them there.
If you like different and oddball, Pulliams Hot Dogs offers the best dogs with a side of history in town.( make sure you say "wrapped in wax")
Dairios is always a good choice.
The original Little Richards, Now known as Real Q cant be beat for smoked pig.

The new Little Richard’s in Clemmons is very good as well. Camel City BBQ if you’re on the other side of town.

Burger Batch
Cugino Forno for pizza
Mozelle’s (across from 4th st filling station)

Intown donuts is fantastic too. Some guy peddling cutting tools brought me a couple dozen last week, and I couldn't stop eating them. Thankfully there were only 4 left by the time I got to them.

Typically 11-2 but that's only if they didn't sell out of chicken the day before

Since reopening it's hit or miss as to whether there's a line around the building and/or they're even open.

Still damn good and the greens are better than any soul food place I've eaten, but I didn't mention them because of the hit or miss

The best donut places are owned by people from SE Asia. And before anyone says it…

Camel City BBQ is good, thats really the only one I know of in winston. Now I know a few places in K-Vegas and Walburg.

There’s a gravel lot across the street and CCB will cover the parking fees. At least that what all the signs say lol
Yep... Right up until you're mailed a ticket, and then they don't know who you are or why you are bothering them (even though we did the MEP design for the owner) 🙄

Got pushed to tomorrow, kinda leaning towards cicin. Burger sounds good but BBQ is always a favorite, I like mine w/o sauce or minimal, sauce. Vinegar sauce and slaw.
Guess it depends on my mood. Anyone in the area and is flexible for a lunch about 12:30-1:00 I'm open.

You have to jump through all the hoops to get the restaurant coverage. It's a PITA ..... we have only been there once or twice since they started that crap.
The problem is CCB doesn't do it .... an independent parking company does.
They got us the first time we went there and they were using it ..... my wife put on her "Karen-hair" and gave both CCB and the parking company heck until they agreed to drop it.

You should go to the Monk in Lexington. It's actually called Lexington Barbecue but it is awesome! Their pork does not need sauce, it's marinated and smoked in their own recipe and its wonderful!

Been to Lexington bbq, it is good. Been there a few times. I'm still thinking a burger sounds good.....

Wish id have seen this before lunch! Maybe next time. Im on the east side of winston, almost Kernersville but usually up to meet for lunch.

Cincin
Was killer,......... to bad I have to head back to CLT and work. Place is a little dead, which helped with fast service. If I'm in the area would definitely come back. Thanks for the suggestions. Maybe be back if I get the job I just looked at.
