WTF Google

Duckduckgo ftw

Yes, definitely an android thing. Desktop version is obviously different. I might consider an iphone next time around just because they don't dick around with stuff as much.
The kids run iPhones, wife and I androids. Main negative I see about the iPhone is the planned obsolescence. My last android was 7 years old, wouldn't take software updates but still worked just fine other than the fact that I just flat ran out of memory.

You running chrome on yalls phones? Notice the same changes? I wonder if its just a Samsung/Verizon thing.

Well, I just realized you're probably referring to the Google app on the phone whereas I tend to search for things in the Chrome app. That mimics what I do on my desktop since Google is my default search engine. I've looked tho, and the Google app is the same as before. I guess those are different dev teams at Google.

meh, I dont know....my wife is still on an iphone 6 from 2014.

My kids cant make one last long enough to obsolete.

I always prefered android, when Lane went off to college I switched to Apple for facetime and group game chats etc....because wife and both kids loved apple.

I honestly wouldnt turn around for the difference. Several things I feel apple just does better. Several things I miss about android.

While I dont trust either company I am becoming more and more distrustful of Google and as such have been migrating away from them. Maybe because Im paranoid or maybe for good reason. I just keep seeing things that bother me.

Ive deleted chrome from every thing I have, using firefox and ddg. Am slowly migrating away from gmail. Etc.

Does anybody besides me ever Google search weird crap just to see what the targeted ads come up with?

Best combination I've found so far is to open multiple tabs, one for "fart porn", one for "male mannequins", and a few other randoms like instructional Japanese interpretive dance videos that make zero sense whatsoever just to watch how many unusual ads follow you around for several days. It's worth it in entertainment.

No, Chrome web browser app. I never use the Google app unless I accidentally hit the microphone voice search button.

Here's the fix in case anyone else needs it:

But I'm sure it's just temporary until the next update.

Also fixes the button color contrast issue at the bottom strangely enough, which should have nothing to do with tab groups.
