And why are they having an event that conflicts with the annual Rock Corps 4x4 Toy Run?
A tradition we carried on from the Callalantee era.

I just looked them up on the book of feces. Two words to describe the photos I saw: HOLY SHAT If only you could see how they were attempting to straighten a tie rod. Hopefully no one on here is member ...WAIT FOR IT..... WAIT FOR IT..... :popcorn:

irregardless of how they straighten a tie rod, bottom line the powers that be are allowing a competitive ride that will hurt the attendance of Rock Corps Annual Toy run. We are having a ride to raise toys and money for toys for area kids. And they are having a ride to line someones pockets. IMO if it's an oversight, it can be corrected, if it's intentional, then it's defiantly a asshat douche bag move.
 
I don't know anything about it so I had to search it out on FB. Looks like it is a private event for their group? Maybe it isn't a competing event if its a closed thing for just their group? Since they are from Raleigh they may not even know about the Toy run.

No dog in the fight...but any chance at co-existing and making it mutually beneficial...and by that, I mean guilt them into promoting what you're doing, donate to the cause, do a 50/50 at their event. Maybe you and your crew (or at least a representative) set up shop at their gates? Cover more ground, get more money.
 
it's an open group on facebook, why have scheduled a ride. they are inviting everyone to come out to support their ride, everyone, says that anyone can go, so yes, it's an open ride. The owner has access to NC4X4 and is well aware of the common understanding that before you schedule something(a ride) you search for any other rides scheduled. another ride on the same date, will hurt the attendance of both rides. several years ago, we got flack and was scolded for having a ride on the same date as a ECORS race that was happening over in Tennessee

Didn't realize it was an open ride, since it said "Crawl Nation Offroad Club has reserved the entire "The Flats" Offroad Park for an exclusive wheeling trip for its members!"

I missed this part of it though "All other clubs are welcome to join us out there, with hope Mud and Blood, Soggy-Bottom Crawlers, and Raleigh Offroad all make it out. "
 
Sorry guys but was just informed of this. I had seen it the other day on Facebook and even "liked" it but did not pay attention to the wording. I have spoken with the club and they are taking the event off of Facebook so it won't hurt the Benefit ride. They are even planning on coming out Sunday to ride the Shop and support. Me and my family plan to attend the Toy Run Benefit Ride so see you suckas there.

Sounds like when we had to straighten @ol'Jeeps front link, several attempts and it ended up being a really big tree with a fork low enough to jam it in there and a winch. I think he still runs it???
