Step 1) Post a thread on nc4x4 asking for advice what to do
Step 2) Don't listen to any of it
Step 3) Change your stance on whether the guy in white truck is a "bad guy"

That's a wild story, who would have thought a meter man would be reading or swapping out a meter. What really odd is he was in a white work truck, probably with his company name on the side.

Ok wow there fellas. Y'all don't know my wife and that's ok but I can assure you she's nothing like what you might be thinking. She wouldn't hurt a fly or raise her voice at one nontheless do anything what y'all are saying. Someone has to get past the German Shepherd then through her door for her to use a firearm...by that point me and police would be there.
It's all good got it all sorted out. Duke energy finally called and said they found the current order for new smart meter.

Well I assure you any dog, unless it’s a Caucasian Shepherd isn’t a match for a man on a mission! A dog can be ended quickly with bare hands in a split second if needed. I’d get video of the guy from trail cam or home security cam and tell her to go to a area of the house with only one way into that area and use angles from that location, to make sure if someone does enter she has a snowballs chance in hell of defending herself. But I’m gonna assume you have already went over this with your wife if you have a firearm in the house and she has access to it... if not you have way bigger problems then the meter man or whoever the white truck guy is!

Yes of course. Her and daughter are reminded often of the drill since they are at home together. In all honesty, her faith would save her life way before a firearm. We only got it cause well, it's a crazy world so you know.

Clearly you're new to Duke power. If your honest first thought was " generally the person on the phone really knows their shit and would definitely know there's even a meter and service at my house let alone when the third party meter guy is there" then you're in for a treat.
