Been reading up on some stuffs and it got me to thankin. I have a built set of tons and 39.5s I would like to trade. Looking to trade for a stock set of samurai axles and some street 235s. I can add boot as needed. I figure with this mod I can knock 2500 lbs unsprung weight off my CJ. With this weight loss I should be able to go anywhere I could before with more seat of the pants power and better fuel economy, heck I should even be bullit proof now! Mo beta gearing too! If anyone has any better ideas lmk!! Thanks guise!!

Clearly I have been misunderstood in multiple ways on multiple levels.

I sold a set of tons, beadlocks, and 40s and bought a set of JK Rubicon axles and 32s. It worked out well for me.

I wheeled a sammi for years on 33s and yotas it worked on @jeepinmatt principle. No extra weight and just kept momentum up. That thing would go. I broke a few stock axles but after I put decent axles in it became really dependable.

You forgot vertically challenged or short for the weight ratio.

For the record never met the feller in person. I'm also in no man's land between 3 fire departments. @jeepinmatt don't take it personal.

I know we are all just busting balls, but the the same princpal holds true with PJs old buggy that I owned for a while. (project rear steer 2)
It was built with steering yota axles front and rear and changed over to dual steering tons and then swapped back to the yota axles. According to everyone who drove it with both sets of axles it climbed better, broke less, and was all around preferred with the yota axles specifically due to weight reduction.

Now to be fair when both are steering axles the weight delta (C wut I did thar) gets magnified.
