Your build thread sucks

Wow...

That guy has some serious recources!
:smokin:

I need to find out where this junkyard he gets his parts from is! Junkyard 400i V12? Really?

He probably spent more on just that engine than we do on a whole trail rig.
Unless I scanned past his purchase price.

I made it to page 4 and my head was spinning. Dude has serious dedication along with experience and knowledge.

The other thing which I admire most is a total lack of the word "can't" in his vocabulary.

As a welder though I cringed at the loss of strength in all the welded aluminum alloys. My head kept saying anealed.....softer......impending doom!
He addresses that some in the thread.

I didn't want to be a hater, but I was thinking the same thing.

I mean I guess he isn't expecting to get 250,000 miles out of it, but if it started losing coolant after 2 months I wouldn't be surprised either.

I also didn't read the whole thing, so..

I read a couple posts and decided that he has more time than I could ever comprehend.

My optimistic side says, "wow, he has gotten a lot of stuff done, and built his own frankin V-12"
My pessimistic side says "wow, 11 years of your life and you have a fast, less reliable than a regular Ferrari something-or-other"

expensive imports don't do it for me, but the fabrication and innovative problem solving is impressive, truly a jack of all trades.

After reading 4 pages, that guy is something else. You know when a couple posts in he is talking about machining his own custom cam shafts, he is on another level.

Meh...not enough rotted wood or mold for me.
Your not eleven years in yet....and not building a rear engine pusher from a van down by the river

Dude doesn’t know can’t, but he did drop a valve seat page 11 or 12. Then had to remachine almost every bearing surface in that block go make it work again. Still dude is like I wanna make this work.

Am I the only one who reads the first couple pages on a build thread, then cuts to the end and works my way back to the beginning?

I blame my impatience.

Publicly commented build threads need a button on the top that skims you past all the dumb-ass comments and only give you commentary from the original poster. Ineveitably, there is that "one guy" (or maybe multiple guys) that say , "Just LS swap it" to everything and it spirals out of control from there.

Probably not. I know for a fact that’s the first time I’ve ever read your entire post. Normally a novel to answer a simple yes or no answer.

Congratulations, I guess?

I dunno.

Am I supposed to care? Are you trying to hurt my feelings? Is this relevant somehow?

So many questions, yet so little concern over the answers.

Not trying to hurt your feelings. I myself have a very short attention span and just can’t force myself to read long posts.
