From everything I've seen, the vette is light years ahead of the viper in design & technology. The viper is cool, but I bet the vette is more refined & a better driver.

Both the viper and corvette are sexyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

I guess the engine tech I've read about for the vette is my main point. The throttle blip as you shift. The VVT & dead cylinder fuel savings are pretty cool. The viper is still awesome & you'll see so few on the road. When the Viper came out, it was ahead of the Vette of the era IMO. The Viper was built to go fast, period, and it did that very well, both in a straight line and on a road course. But it's downfall was that Dodge gave very little though to any styling other than it's body lines, and creature comforts were non-existant. The Vette played catch up and made considerable advances while the Viper changed a little bit of this, and a little bit of that, move this body line, add a little hp, but was basically the same car in the late 2000's that it was in 93 when it came out. Now, the 2013 Viper is a whole new animal, and I would take your bet. I'm sure there will be a battle royale between the two soon enough.

Call it a Corvette, fine. But please don't call it a stingray.

The Nascar team owner was accompanied by Jeff Gordon who high fived him after the winning bid.
Among his prior “firsts” purchased at various Barrett-Jackson auctions, Hendrick bought the first production 2010 Camaro SS for $350,000; the first 2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon Edition for $270,000; the first 2011 Camaro SS convertible for $205,000; and the first 2012 ZL1 Camaro for $250,000. (according to SPEED)
“Because I’m a Chevy dealer, and because new and used we sell more than anybody else in the country, it would be a nice piece for the museum (the Hendrick Heritage Collection), it would a nice piece to take around to the stores, and to have the first one of this generation would be great.”(Hendrick's told SPEED)
