[Mar 23, 2013] Spring Crozet Cheap Truck Challenge CANCELED (Crozet, Va)

I was thinking id come out and watch the event then enjoy the open trail ride but just noticed the fine print says NO SPECTATORS, is this the case? Also does any one have any idea how long the challenge will last?

You can spectate as long as you are there for the open wheeling afterwards, the event itself lasts a few hours.

Yup, you can watch, we'll have areas setup that are safe to see the challenge from. The fine print is that to be on the property, you must have a seat in a registered rig for the open wheeling afterwards, you can't come out JUST to watch the event.

The Scout is as good as it will ever get, save a few minor tweaks (Exhaust hanger, zip tie a few essentials in place....), And I'll be sleeping in the tow vehicle on site, So team ODBA (Old Dominion Binders Association) is ready to go!

We still need to put on 8.25 in the XJ, and make a bumper if we get time.

I need to fix a trans leak issue on my TJ before next weekend also.

We are staying up on Wintergreen Mountain.

Gentlemen,

It truly pains me to have to do this, But this event is Canceled, As a member of the RCPFA Board of Directors, I can't say anymore about it at this time, But please watch for future events.

This really SUCK'S ASS !!!! Does anyone want to buy my Cherokee or know of another event like this ?????? I built it for this event and possibly catch another or so to justify building it.

Hey man I guarantee you aren't more disapointed than me and John, but hold onto the xj I'm sure they will have the event sometime at a later date.

Run the Dayton TN Ecors race in AA class. Rigs should be pretty close to the same.

Nope, our CCTC XJ won't pass tech for AA class. We cut out our rear inner fenders. We wanted to run it in AA class but we cut the fenders out long ago.

Then run Class A. The course is identical. However there are some various optional lines for those that have biger balls than others :D

Well we have been planning to race this in the second cctc, which we would still like to do. We are kinda hoping that they are going to reschedule it in the near future and want to have the same jeep to do it in.
Also for A class we would have to put in a cage or put all the glass back in which would be aggravating to say the least with its current body "modifications" lol.

FYI, Anyone who prepaid for this event, and who will not be attending the open wheeling event this weekend, Please let me know in a PM, and we will get you a full refund, including membership to the park if you prepaid that for this event, and do not want to be a member of RCPFA.

Has there been any resolution to the land use issue's yet ???
